Alright, I have tried over and over again. I can't make this work. I've watched tons of videos on how to do it, I've deleted my .exe and tried over and over, but when ever I start MineCraft, it's like nothing has changed at all. Yes, I have the ModLoader, yes my MineCraft is up to date. I admit that I'm probably just doing something stupid to make it not work. Can someone please explain to me how they got their mod to work? (I have Windows 7 btw)
Also, that last time I redownloaded Minecraft, the .minecraft folder in %appdata% is missing the mod folder. Where the hell did it go?

I installed Modloader following the modloader instructions (opening the .minecraft\bin\minecraft.jar with winrar and dragging + dropping the Modloader files in, as well as deleting the META-INF folder from the minecraft.jar)
Then you unzip the millenaire zip, drop the [millenaire] folder from it into .minecraft folder
[I deleted the old millenaire folder first to prevent possible problems from old versions]
drop the millenaire0.7.1.zip that was extracted into the .minecraft\mods folder.
And that's it... Millenaire works.
[If it doesn't work after that, (and blackscreens) it's probably an ID conflict.]

It seems like I did that like 20 times already, but thank you, it finally works. :biggrin.gif:
Alright, now I can't find any villages. I've tried a few worlds and all say there are none in a 2km radius of where I am, no matter where I go. Do I need to just keep looking or is there something wrong? :/
I installed Modloader and Millenaire exactly by the instructions, but I don't thank any villages are being made. when i press v, it says that there are no nearby villages. I started a world with the seed "b" (the seed that is supposed to spawn a village) but there are no villages. What am I doing wrong?
during the day when the villagers become active, my CPU useage goes way up to 100% and my FPS goes down so low its almost unplayable. also i dont see them do anything just wander around, is something not right here?
also a bug i got was that when i traveled a fair distance and found another village then went back to the first, there were duplicates of all adult males

The new config setting defaults to not spawning villages.
change the line in .minecraft/millenaire/config.txt to
generate_villages=true
By the way, for anyone getting unplayable lag spikes (even on powerful computers), ATI released an update the other day which seems to be the cause of this.
Nothing to do with Millenaire or Minecraft 1.6.6.
I turned all of the settings down in Catalyst Control Centre and Minecraft works fine again.
In the game none of the quarrys are actually cooking any of the sand. I found that if i put coal in the furnace it works but it does put quite a damper on individual towns if i dont attend to putting new coal in the furnaces all the time. any fix for this?

A lot of the CPU issues is due to bad npc pathing (I try to make the terrain more passable for them) but some people have reported high CPU usage since 1.6 came out (like it worked fine before that). Also I'm not sure if there is still the bug where villages won't become inactive when you get far away from them. So if you're on a world with a lot of explored villagers, you may have CPU issues.

If the miner has a wife she should get wood from the town hall and turn it into planks and fill the furnaces with that.
Dunno if this got broken in the latest patch.
[I know in one of my saves the hamlet had 2 miners, I think I screwed one up by messing with his diggy hole. The other had the duplication bug so there were about 6 miners there all digging... problem was the one that kept bugging out and resetting himself had a wife, the others didn't so... they had tons of resources and the other (that rarely dug anything) always had furnaces packed with planks]
Okay, i posted last night, and i had gotten two sollutions that didnt help. The first sollution required a Cattle Farm. I dont have one. The second one required a Animal Farm. i dont have one.
I litteraly have two grain farms, a hut, a Townhall and a fountain. Thats it.
So, its a bug?
Okay. Is there any way that i can Hard-Hack in the wool?
EDIT:
On a interesting note, they are currently upgrading the Hut. It now has a wood floor. Hurray!
EDIT2: And wooden walls.
EDIT3: Okay, that hut must be special, because its not cobblestone and glass.
Still no wool though.
Really enjoy the mod and it usually works fine, but with the most recent MC update the items aren't being drawn properly. A Denier is shown as a quiver, Cidre is a stick and most of the others are just invisible. The only things that look right are the three amulets.

To everybody having trouble with selling wool, just go to millenaire/buildingplans/villages and open up the txt file for the village you have. Add :

Problem with a texture pack and/or mcpatcher, run mcpatcher again after installing millenaire should fix it (or some nonsense like that)--- though I thought it was supposed to be fixed in 0.7.1 *shrugs*
I'm confused with the new update, about the "generating new villages" bit. It's set to false initially, does this mean it will not generate new villages when you explore new chunks? Or that if you set it to true it will generate a new village in a previously saved file, aka I change this and play my normal game and my village gets reset?

Whenever I test new updates of this mod, I always download a flat grass map then spawn a village using the village wand
(use diamond block to get 4 instant villages).. :laugh.gif:

What does the modloader log say? (use [spoiler] tags for it please)

&!☺!&
^^^ That did not fix the problem?
Sounds like you have an agricole village so you should edit:
.minecraft/millenaire/villages/agricole.txt
But I think at the very end it should just be:
add that down there with the other imports and hopefully it'll work.
