i made the whole map from the original game portal even with glados, and retextured texture pack (you cnow with soundtracks in noteblocks and EVERY signs with glados speecks on it! every block perfectly placed and retextured , everything works, now please bring them back D,:

Just give it time, everything (minus HEP, he's got a different plan for those) will return. Keep in mind he's re-writing everything from scratch. I'd say he's done pretty (spectacularly) well so far.
When making a whitelist for what blocks you can shoot portals onto, what do you title the whitelist file? And do you put the block IDs in the file, or something else? :/

You actually have to use the config file inside the .minecraft/config folder, I believe.
Alright, so I know this might sound noobish and/or stupid, but is this mod available for 1.2.3? If yes, where should I get it? Also, can two Portal spawners be activated at once by one lever between them?

But if you want portal render to be more realistic :
Make a vector from the portal 1 to the portal 2. Translate the player camera with this vector.
rotate the last camera with the indications of the two portal ( origin to up of portal,origin to left of portal ).
Finaly render the zone that concern the portal.
Is it just me or is the FileCopter version of the file screwed up? its a zip yet neither windows explorer nor archive openers can open it? is there a working version of the file?

If you check the config from the download, all the comments there should help. Your props file reset for some reason.
portalListIDs=0 <-- this is the list of block Ids (can be metadata specific in next version) that's to be checked.
portalWhitelist=0 <-- this toggles whitelisting or blacklisting. Blacklist disallows certain blocks to have portals on them. Whitelist allows only certain blocks to have portals on them.

Hey, the issue here is, for see through portals i actually got help from ChickenBones (maker of NEI) who made pretty much the entire render. Mainly because I had no idea how to do it. So pretty much for now it'll stay as is, cause I dare not touch his code heavily for I might break something.

iChun should have the base Portal mod, and then other people freely make extensions of this mod (I. E. the gels mod, light bridge mod). so people could make HEP mods, laser mods, faith plate mods, etc. on their own instead of whining to have it put into the mod. Well, at least until the feature appears in the base mod itself. Yes, I regret that first post I made here XP
