Dang, sorry about being late on this!!!
I was having some trouble with mcp 211, so had to mess around with mcp30 to get everything updated.
Mods have been updated and added a 5th mod to separate the trees/leaves/grass from the stone mod
ENJOY :smile.gif:

Oh man thx so much. I have terrible eyes and this helps a great deal.
Here is a to show me appreciation
Edit: I have updated the wiki so that others can easily find this Mod. The fact that it wasn't there is probably why it took so long for me to find you.

The Mod is listed under the subsections of Aesthetic and Functional
Edit 2: I'm hooked and wish to make a suggestion. Could you use some of your magic on the wools. I use them often and think it would be epic.
Wools have now been added, glad you like the mods!!!

However, my notebook cant be very bright. And i dont like to minecraft with so much RL-light in the back...
But one question: The older one caused that there were nearly no hostiles at easy, some at Normal and on Hard not sooo many too... Is that caused by the light the ground and trees give off?
GlowingTreesGrass.mod will keep forests brighter at night, but mobs still appear in the dark areas.
If you are in a dense forest, you might not see that many mobs, but if there are spread out trees then mobs should appear as normal.
Tree leaves and wood stumps give of a light level of .9, so mobs will not spawn near them.
Grass is giving off a light level of .5 and I believe mobs will spawn at .7 or lower.

Could you release a version with everything at light level 6? I'd love to be able to see easier, but I don't want it to effect spawning.
For that matter, do mobs spawn more at light 0 than at light 6?

"I am free, no matter what rules surround me. If I find them tolerable, I tolerate them; if I find them too obnoxious, I break them. I am free because I know that I alone am morally responsible for everything I do." - Robert Heinlein
I use GlowingOres and Water and have found them to be insanely useful, and look forward to their 1.6.4 incarnation. In the meantime I am using Zombe's Modpack, which includes a glowing ores option but also an option to alter other blocks, for example, to make them more transparent to light.
I found that if you make all ordinary blocks (smoothstone, sand, dirt, gravel, etc) 'transparent' or make their LightReduction value 1 (or some low number - water is 3) instead of making them glow, then the ground slowly lights up around you as you approach ores, thus making them easier to find deep underground! It's like a light based mineral detector! And it has the insanely useful advantage of letting you know when you are digging towards lava. :-) I set all of my ores to glow at 15 to make them easier to find when digging through solid stone.
I thought I'd mention this to you for your own mods as Zombe's collection includes many mods that I do not use, and even though the options for the others are turned off they are still there and cause some amounts of lag. I would much rather just have your mods installed with my other few favourites.
Thank you for all that info! I might mess around with some of those settings next chance I get.
I've been away for a while, so I haven't been able to update any of my mods.
As a matter of fact, I haven't even played any of the 1.6 update.
My mods are extremely simple, so I assumed someone else got around to updating them for 1.6+.
I've become pretty spoiled by being able to explore caves without the use of torches and only using ambient light from rocks and dirt, so there will definitely be an update soon. I can't play without these mods, haha.
If I get the time I will update to 1.7 (which I heard should be coming out pretty soon?)
Thanks everyone for the interest. Have a good weekend!

Thanks for updating! Now I shall try to figure out what is causing the slowdown in world generation (is it Zombe's pack or glowing ore, or something else).
Is it easy enough to add a transparency option to each block type too?
I think the slow world generation is because of the lighting updates. I will try to see if there are any workarounds for it, but for now I think we have to just be patient: From console on new world generation: 1000000 updates, aborting lighting updates lol.
I am also working on messing with the transparency on the blocks to see if I can get it to work. I tried it before, but wasn't really getting the results I was looking for. But if I do get it to work, I'll update the mod and add those options in. I'll keep you posted.
