Looks to me like it does and it doesn't: it is illuminating the block underneath the snow and then the ambient occlusion is causing a bleed-through of the lighting on the edges of the snow. Definitely a good catch though.

You know, it occurs to me that the French are, in general, a highly melancholy people. On every street they rue something.
omg, why not to make it simple drag-n-drop to 'mods' folder and the same option for multimine
Both make fundamental changes to Minecraft, i can't do that without changing fundamental classes (and breaking every other mod using those in the process). Use mcpatcher you lazy pig.
XD You know why? You are suppose to install forge AFTER modloader! NOT BEFORE! > Does anyone know how to install Dynamic lights with forge correctly? Because if I install it before my game crashes if I take damage. If I install it after any torch I put down makes the game crash. Does anyone know how to install it correctly!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I mean the non-mcpatcher version btw. I use optifine

You cant its no forge or no dynamic lights till either forge or dynamic lights gets their **** together. Its most likely that dynamic lights directly modifies a base class and thats a no no with the new forge.
[EDIT]
but for best compatibility delete meta-inf install dynamic lights then modloader then mp and forge then other mods. add other mods one at a time though for safety. even then good luck
Atomicstryker has always been an ass to his users, just look at the present topic. This mod was great, but now it is mostly broken and incompatible with anything, so I won't use it anymore either. Too bad to see a goood mod going down due to lack of support and "piggly laziness" from his author.
I really hope that you'll rethink your attitude on this mod, it deserves it.
???? Huh ?????
I'VE never had much trouble with 'incompatibilities' - mind you I don't use forge - i just made sure I used the 'correct' one for what MOD's I WAS using (e.g. Use 'Dynamic Lights for optifine' IF I was using 'Optifine')
As for Atomicstryker 'attitude' - he DID say that 'i can't do that without changing fundamental classes', which IF you knew anything about programming (I know very little myself) but THIS means, IMHO, that he'll have to rewrite Minecraft itself - & doing so would/could cause all the other MOD's NOT TO WORK.
WHEN the MOD API finally comes out & everything is 'standardized' in the world of MODding, then the idea of incompatible MOD's would then disappear
@Magic
Your post is so full of idiocy, ignorance and dumbassery I'm tempted to frame it and put it on some wall. It's the kind of post you see on reddit on "how stupid can people get?!" in the WTF section.
Hopefully OptiFine can fix on their end soon...
basically if you want to use it with your mod you would just put the right settings into dynamic.properties or whatever it's called
In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, if I got Yoshi, don't mess with me. I warned you.
How about downloading the mcpatcher version and following the installation instructions - being compatible doesnt mean its INCLUDED in mcpatcher
installed working mods before DynamicLights:
MC 1.2.3
MinecraftForge-1.4.0.56-Client
ModLoader
ModLoaderMP 1.2.3 v3
OptiFine_1.2.3_HD_MT_B
CodeChickenCore-Client 0.4.3
NotEnoughItems-Client 1.1.3
SinglePlayerCommands-MC1.2.3_V3.2.zip
[1.2.3]ReiMinimap_v3.0_03.zip
InvTweaks-1.40b-1.2.3.zip
