Cool on the 1024 block ID's, but could you possibly increase block metadata to 8 bit? I've always found 4 bit to be extremely limiting. Unless there is some other data field I'm not aware of...

Actually i've already done that. Just never released it because it breaks saves and I didn't work on a way to unconvert it
The Timberrrrrr one sounds awesome, but judging by it saying 1.4 at the end it's not compatible with v1.4_01?
Ya its not. Once i figure out the water bug i'll work on updating it. As long as notch doesn't update in the mean time
I think you should update it after the 1.5 update. Notch said he would update Minecraft to Beta 1.5 this week, so I think it would be best to wait until then just so you're not wasting your time.
Can't wait to test it out though!
Thats probably what I am going to do.

1024 blocks? Holt freakin' hell! That's insane! That's ludicrous! That's... four more than 1020.
You, sir and/or madame, deserve a cookie.
Sadly, all I have left from my now-flooded underwater fortress is this mushroom:
I'm curious about something. Would this mod be compatible with Aligator's AutoID mod, to assign values higher than 250? I asked over at his forum as well. maybe you guys could work together, or something, so all the old modders don't have to update their mods to be compatible with this one? That would be awesome and I'm sure everyone would love you guys for it.
Does Minecraft Extended automatically apply the effects for the increased sprite count, or are some configurations in order?
What I basically want is to have IndustrialCraft and SDK's mods run together, but usually I get the sprite Index error.
Also does it require McPatcher? Because it doesn't work on my minecraft. (at all, screws everything up)
It requirs people to make them use the new sprites and does not use a patcher. Don't know how to do that. And what does it do to your minecraft?

Its compatible I think but it won't assign any blockids above 256 so in that way its not.

It's ok, I asked Aligator, and he's modding his code to do it :smile.gif:
Okay good. As long as he doesn't change variable names it should be good. As the part that resizes the blocks relies heavily on reflection which isn't fool proof
I'm curious though, do modders have to specifically change there code to allow for the new block id's? or will just changing the block IDs in their properties files work? Sorry if this has been asked before.

Changing the blockIds in the properties file should work
So, I've just tried installing Minecraft Extended... because really, I've been out of BlockIds for a while now... and despite all my best attempts, I can't get the damn zip file to open. It keeps telling me that it 'cannot find file'.
I'm sure that this means that somehow, the download has been damaged... but what I can't understand is why or how.
Moreover, I've tried downloading it twice now. No dice.
Quite an irksome experience. Is anyone else having anything similar?

Yeah, I've tried downloading Minecraft Extended several times now... all to no avail. It keeps telling me that the files cannot be found. I think there might have been some damage done to the files... you might want to look into that, just to make sure it isn't me being an idiot again.
I'm pretty sure it's not, though. The files just -won't- extract, no matter what program I use.

Enjoy it in good health.

Don't those hurt you?
Hey, hey... I'm an architect, not a botanist. I don't know what they do!
I do know that you can take a red one and a brown one, stick 'em in a bowl, and make a very tasty soup.
On that note, I did manage to find this:
Now I know one of those is bad but somehow they are good when combined together

Awesome thanks for the quick reply :smile.gif:

Btw; great mod. Been searching for something like this for a fair while.
Tell him its for 1.4_01. All my other mods are 1.4 though changing now
I found out what the problem was an have a fix ready. But it edits a couple minecraft core classes so reducing that first.
The temp fix is to turn of fancy graphics until the next patch comes out

world as in the class file? that would be fine. I don't think that any modloader mods use that file. Thanks!
