formivore has always kept his mods regularly updated, and adds improvements frequently as well. This is a pretty unusual case. Given the fact that the world save format changed this time around, he's probably got more rewriting to do than usual. There's always the possibility that he's got something interesting in mind for it, too. CARuins was a real surprise to me, and I was following the thread when the models appeared.
From comments up-thread, though, it might be real life and/or burn-out. I'm hoping not. Losing these would be a serious blow to the community, in my opinion. My coding skills are twenty years or so out of date... playing catch-up really isn't something I have time for at this point. I might have to, though. For now, I'm just trying to stay out of AlexSledge's way, and hoping we hear from formivore soon.
He, like many other modders lately, is probably just waiting for this "modder API" thing that Mojang is working on getting out to us. Really looking forward to this being updated for 1.2.3 though!
Formivore has the code checked-in at http://code.google.com/p/formivore-minecraft-mods/source/checkout
There's an update on March 7th that mentions new world heights... that MIGHT be the 1.2 update, but I haven't figured out yet how to compile it (I suspect I need a set of unobfuscated minecraft libraries for the dependency checking).
Wouldn't surprise me if Formivore is waiting for 1.3 and the craftbukkit integration. Mojang said that they'll be doing something bukkit-like, but it wouldn't be exactly like that, so the modders will have to learn the new API when it is finally published.
Hey Formivore, I'm a massive fan of all three of these mods, Walled Cities, Great Wall, and the CARuins. I have a few suggestions. More treasure chests in underground cities, More Sand stone ruins in the sandstone cities, larger zombie catacombs in abandoned sand stone cities (those are fun as hell) If I think of anymore, I'll let you know.
But the biggest thing of all, Please make a version for SSP and SMP Bukkit server 1.2.3 and 1.2.4 (in the works from Jeb on his twitter) It would be greatly appreciated. If I actually had the time, I'd take the source and do it my self insted of burdoning you with it, but I have 0 time for programming now adays. Any how I like how you do it any way
Over all EXCELENT survival map generators. I've generated a massive world at max settings (took forever to make the map generate) for my bukkit server than inported it into the server to have as my survival map, and all my people on my server LOVE IT!! They have asked me hundreds of times to program a version for the bukkit server for self generation, but Ihave simply told them the same thing, I have no time. That is what being a manager does to you, lol. If not for me, for the people of my server!
Best reguards,
Leon

Open the server JAR file with WinZip or 7Zip and copy the files from the put_in_minecraft_server_jar folder in the Formivore_Server_2.3.0-1.2.4.zip into the minecraft_server.jar - do not delete META-INF like you would with the client.
Create your Minecraft server directory, I use C:\MCServer, and copy your modified minecraft_server.jar into the directory you create.
Copy the resources folder from the Formivore_Server_2.3.0-1.2.4.zip into the same folder where you placed your modified minecraft_server.jar
Double click the minecraft_server.jar to launch the server, this will create a server.properties and a few other files in your server directory. If you wish to customize anything, stop the server ('stop' in the server console), and make your edits to server.properties such as world name, seed, etc..
Launch your Minecraft game client, go to Multiplayer, Add Server, and specify "localhost" without quotes as the server address for a new server, name it whatever you like, then connect and enjoy.
When I use a level-seed=0 value, I get these cities immediately at spawn:
-178,-110,0
-180,25,0
-339,24,0
-332,-110,0
When in doubt, look in the city_locations.txt which is generated in your Minecraft server directory.
Thanks a lot man, this was always one of my favorite mods. Nice to be able to use it with an updated game. Really appreciate the work you put into the mod while the developer is away, not to mention sharing it with the rest of us.
I had the code integrated with SSP for 1.2.3, ModLoader logs even said it initialized & loaded the mods, but it would never actually generate anything, or from what I could tell, actually trigger the mods, because the mod specific condiguration & log files were never generated.
I didn't spend too much more time on it, likely for the same reason Formivore is away, the pending official API. I also have a strong philosophical leaning toward SMP with friends, and one of the big plusses of Formivore's mods are that no client mods are needed to play on a modded server.
Depending on how the day looks I might see if 1.2.4 gets me anything different.

You need to create a new world for it to work properly
Can you give instructions on how to install this because im having a lot of problems.

There are notes in Formivore's source code of compiling a Bukkit port, have look at using that with MCP.

I know nothing about coding, dude.
