Surely you haven't disappeared AGAIN, Hardcorebadger. Of course you wouldn't, since you said the 1.7 version was "almost done".
When was it that you put that up there again? 2 weeks ago? 3? A month?
Hope this doesn't end up going like the Aether mod. First they said a month, MAYBE. Then they said a couple more. Then they said "When its done". Final development time: over 6 months, and its STILL had MAJOR bugs!
Yeah, sure, all the mobs spawn great.... when you first go there. Then they steadily de-spawn over the next 5-10 minutes til there are none left!
I'm guess I'm just saying if your going to take a while, could you at least try to make sure there aren't any major bugs? If It ends up being fine spawn-wise I may end up playing this more than the Aether!
Hardcorebadger technically owns JurassiCraft, but Ashtheking was/is helping on it. I think Ash got involved with making his Flying Fortress mod, though. (http://www.minecraft...tresses-wipmod/) Hardcore disappeared at one point and Ash did a buggy update of JurassiCraft to beta 1.4_01 which can be found here: http://www.minecraft...icraft-updated/
Fairly recently Hardcore magically reappeared, and updated JurassiCraft to beta 1.6.6. After brief promises that an update to 1.7 was "almost done", and his supposed incorporation of a few new suggestions into the mod, he promptly disappeared again. I think he hasn't been heard from in over a week and with Notches Adventure Update coming soon, Hardcore may not even get JurassiCraft updated before then.
I know this mod has a LOT of potential, but it just hasn't been consistently worked on enough to reach fruition. I still go on hoping for a 1.7 update soon though...
And to Hardcore, I think you have done a fantastic job so far! Terrain generation works well and most of the dinos perform brilliantly! I understand real life comes first and all, but I would like to see a little more work being done. Maybe you could bring another person in on the project, perhaps? It just seems a bit redundant to not finish an update for one version of Minecraft before the next version is almost out!
Good luck on the update, and don't let the haters get you down.

do not plz do not add dino sounds i cant use this mod if you do as audio mod hates my computer
Then simply don't install Audiomod. Any Modloader mod will work without Audiomod, you just won't be able to hear that mod's sound.
Besides, Hardcore hasn't even made it Modloader compatible yet. And a mod has to be Modloader compatible to use Audiomod. See?
This is a really cool mod! I'd love the compatibility with the modloader, but the creepersuarus would kind of ruin the Jurrasic in my opinion due to the fact that it will be like a creeper and not so realistic, and that's what I love about this mod, is the realism, which most mods lack. Yeah, it's dinosaurs, but as far as research goes, there has been no exploding dinosaurs.
SOME IDEAS:
I think it would be pretty cool and realistic if diamond was actually on the surface, or just below, but make them more rare, or make it a complete different ore called 'true diamond' or something(because diamonds weren't always miles deep into the ground, they were once on the surface). And maybe some pure earth essence, and some caves that could contain cave men that are defensive and might have like raw food or camp-like fires at entrances of caves or something. Also, more liquids. Perhaps instead of coal being in rocks, have it in a liquid form or something or have it like in a lake? I don't know. Just throwing some ideas to maybe work off of.

In liquid form like oil or tar you mean? Maybe acidic water?

Just wanted to point out that diamonds are technically formed when coal (or similar substance) is compressed and super-heated deep underground. Diamonds being 48-64 meters down (like in normal Minecraft) is already pushing it. The only realistic way for diamonds to get near to the surface is volcanic activity, or possibly tectonic plate shifting (which would likely result in volcanic activity). In lame-man's terms: Diamonds could only be at the surface near volcanoes in real life. Plus I would vote no for easier diamonds anyways. :tongue.gif:

Well, at least we have Archeology.
