Love your clay mods, however the sieve likes to catch my floor on fire. I'm using lava as my heat source to dry the clay and it keeps trying to ignite the sieves. Is there a fix for this?
Here is an idea I thought of. A block. A white-glasslike block. It sits in a dull state. Add Redstone and BOOM! Light. A working light switch system. Could also be activated by right clicking. It would be a whitish, partially transparent block that throws out twice as much light as glowstone. I think the main appeal is it can be turned on and off.
Need to inspect your mob spawner without taking a risk? No problem.
Want to play hide and seek with your pet wolf? Easy.
Want to create a failsafe that leaves invaders in the dark with mobs closing in? A gently breeze.
Tell me what you think guys, I think it would be a great addition to FancyPack, and it fits the mod of adding more homelike objects. I think it can be done.
Also, I'm running FancyPack with Misa's Realistic, and it is EPIC!
I like this, but there's one tiny problem:
Glowstone has 15 luminance , which is the same as sunlight.
The maximum luminance level is 16.
16 < 30.
Shouldn't be brighter. I approve being able to turn it on/off though.
Actually, when looking, I found something almost identical from the guy who created the wireless redstone mod called glasslight. Its really such a great idea, but even though its already been done, doesn't mean it shouldn't be added to fancypack, I think it would be a brilliant addition to the mod.
I just wanted to say that your mods are absolutely fantastic, and things that really ought to be in the game anyway. I especially love the farming mod, as more crops and such are exactly what I've been looking for. That, plus Baby Animals, and I have myself a pretty respectable farm. :smile.gif: Thank you.
ChocolateySyrup, your mods are absolutely amazing :smile.gif:. It's added so much more to my world and really made it more of a "home" than a rock box hanging under a cliff ever could be, lol. Thanks for all of your hard work. Good luck with the 1.5 update and I can't wait to see what else you come up with :biggrin.gif:

I seem to be haveing some sort of problem with FancyPack. Latest version of FancyPack and latest version of Modloader installed, no other mods. I installed Modloader correctly (checked first and it's running by itself), then installed FancyPack correctly (copies all .class files plus the Fancypack folder to the minecraft.jar) and for some reason I get an error message when starting Minecraft. Unfortunatly the program shuts down before I can tell what the error message says. It is the current version of Minecraft (1.4_01) and there are no other mods or texture packs installed. Wish I had more helpful information, but that's all I can tell you about this particular error.
EDIT:
Nevermind, turns out I still had an old version of the properties file in my Minecraft directory. Replaceing it with the new one seems to of fixed things XD
Silver. I dislike packs that add hundreds of new ores/gems etc, but where there is gold, there should be silver.
It would be a companion mod to fancypack, but separate so we could have silver in the worldgen right away and add the rest of fancypack when the item sprite limit is broken.
Anyway, it would introduce silver ore underground, silver ingots, silver blocks for decoration, silver furniture just like in fancypack, silverware (decorative only, craft with one silver ingot), drinking cups (bucket that looks nicer but can't pick up the lava), NOT TOOLS and probably not sword (tools especially make little sense).
Maybe if you're feeling sensitive you could even add a diamond ring to increase your defense a little in inventory.
Also, with this mod you could add three recipes for trophys to implement after 1.5 update next week - wood, silver, and gold, based on achievements earned - decorative. craft
[] []
[] []
[] [] where log is the silver ingot, gold, or wood plank.
Thanks, and look forward to a response.
Finally, a standalone item which I care about a little less but should be very easy to implement: a calendar.
[] []
[] []
[] [] where frame is paper.
It would tell how many full day cycles you've played on that map, just because. Kindof like playtime, in many games.

Minecraft technology - the logical way - the only way.
I came up with this idea when I realized "The lack of beds in MineCraft really limits the user to how he or she wants to style their house. So, I come hear to recommend the idea for an addition to FancyPack. I know I could just post the idea in suggestions, But I really like FancyPack, so I figured I would bring the idea here if Syrup actually wanted to add something like it.
Modern Beds
Basically a modern bed would be simply modern. It wouldn't have a specific appeal like some I will post after, but it will simply be another choice for the user. I have a few pictures that express my idea.
Picture Ideas
Lounge Beds
A fancy bed. Many are circular in nature, adding a nice little stylistic touch. A Nice bed that someone rich would have, again, I will show some pictures to illustrate my ideas, as I have trouble putting it in words.
Pimp Beds
An extremely over the top, kinky bed. Also can have a more rustic classic style, although some modern designs.
Unique Beds
A bed with intent for someone weird, just something cool for someone, possibly someone going through a midlife crisis.
Note: This bed is real, it uses magnets to keep the bed in the air, saw it in a magazine a few years back.
I hope you guys like my suggestion. I kinda intend it to be for FancyPack, as it really involves decorations and furnishings. I have seen people make different colored beds, but nobody has really made a mod that restyles beds.
Hi, haven't posted much on the forum cause I tend to like to figure things out myself, but this has got me stumped. I'm using a wide variety of mods, on a 1.3_01 MC version. One of my favorite mods, Shockah's Minerals!, and a couple of minor ones haven't been updated past that. Nothing in 1.4 entices me into updating enough to get rid of those mods yet.
I've always loved using Fancypack, Expanded Farming, and Stained Glass; however, I've tried unsuccessfully to get them all installed with 1.3_01, and I can't for the life of me get Expanded Farming to work. Everything else works fine, and though I have a huge list of mods, none of them seemed to be conflicting except this one.
My debug error report looks like this;

Done.
And that's it. I'm not sure what the "CONFLICT @ -" are about; they've been there this whole time, even while the game has worked, and were not something new that developed after installing Expanded Farming.
Any idea what could be causing this? Possibly item IDs, instead of block IDs? I made a handy list of block IDs for easy cross referencing when I started installing mods, but I didn't list the item IDs.
Well, any help would be awesome. Thanks in advance.
Can you post the actual crash error log too? Not just the beginning of the modloader output.
That'll usually have a message about nullpointer exceptions, slot numbers, or classdef errors.

I'm afraid I must be using a different debug program, as the information I posted was all the program gave me (with the exception of the section of Minerals! checks).
Hey Syrup, just thought I'd mention this. Have you seen the Minecraft Mod Center? Might be a good way to advertise your mods and look for incompatibilities. Also, it's quite a nice website and an easy way to spam adf.ly :tongue.gif:
Sorry if somebody already mentioned this, but there are 33 pages and the search function is broken :/

This really isn't relevant to the thread you're currently looking at.
Should I use a different program?
Also, thanks for the quick reply.
The game itself should offer some kind of crash report. "Minecraft has crashed!" is the general header.
Ah, sorry. There is a good bit of text on that crash report, but the minecraft window flashes black repeatedly; there's a split second where it's clear before the game closes completely, but not enough time to really read it. Screenshots don't work for the window either, it shows up as all black.
This error log appeared in the minecraft root folder, but I'm not sure if it's what you need at all.

Note that this may not be 100% accurate, as I copied it by hand in 1 second increments.
Syrup, are you at all interested in my silver idea?
And, for the sake of fairness, in the...beds...
?
You don't like my bed ideas? Syrup would be the first person to add more styles of beds if he decides to do it, I've seen different colors, never different beds completely.
Actually, when looking, I found something almost identical from the guy who created the wireless redstone mod called glasslight. Its really such a great idea, but even though its already been done, doesn't mean it shouldn't be added to fancypack, I think it would be a brilliant addition to the mod.
Hurrah! Well done, Syrup
EDIT: if you're really into this, viewtopic.php?f=1&t=276468
Also, with this mod you could add three recipes for trophys to implement after 1.5 update next week - wood, silver, and gold, based on achievements earned - decorative. craft

Thanks, and look forward to a response.
Finally, a standalone item which I care about a little less but should be very easy to implement: a calendar.

It would tell how many full day cycles you've played on that map, just because. Kindof like playtime, in many games.

Tell me what you think guys.
My debug error report looks like this;
And that's it.
That'll usually have a message about nullpointer exceptions, slot numbers, or classdef errors.
I'm afraid I must be using a different debug program, as the information I posted was all the program gave me (with the exception of the section of Minerals! checks).
Should I use a different program?
Also, thanks for the quick reply.
Sorry if somebody already mentioned this, but there are 33 pages and the search function is broken :/
I'll see if I can get some of the info off the screen before it crashes.
[EDIT] Okay, I managed to copy this much down, but the rest is off the bottom of the screen and it won't let me scroll down. I had pretty much one full second to see the screen before the game quit.
Note that this may not be 100% accurate, as I copied it by hand in 1 second increments.
Did anyone read this?
