I've installed the mod correctly, and I know I did, since it's not crashing me whenever I start it up and load a game, and also, I've installed many mods before, and I believe I know how to drag files here and there (Who doesn't?)
Anyway, I'm just not able to create the controller block. I've used:
Where = Lever
And I've also tried:
Where = Redstone dust.
Idk what to do, since I love this mod, and Rigusami's Floodgate sucks. Whenever I try to put that "mod_Controllerblock.class" file in my minecraft.jar, it crashes me...And I know I have Modloader v5.
cod you make this compatible with sdk mods? if you could I would be internaly grateful and if it realy happens praise this man find :Diamond:'s every 3 blocks he dig!
Could you please put the link to the modloader thread up again? Or maybe it's still there, I'm just not seeing it.

Right, the new Controller Block mod contains a mod_controllerblock class file and a controllerblock folder (which contains the gui folder and other class files).
The only way I got the mod to work is to drag the mod_controllerblock class file and the controllerblock folder, as they are, directly into the minecraft jar. No fiddling with the gui folder. I presume this is the new method to get the mod to work because it works for me!
I was devastated when sunrise stopped updating this mod, but now you have given me my minecraft soul back. Thankyou, and take this, you deserve it: :Diamond:^
Ok first off this page from the wiki is always handy (although ignore the compatibility part, its usually wrong, check the forum links) http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Client_mods
I do thank you sir! now I can finally try this mod I have been wanting for months...

Is there anyway you could add more controller blocks to place on the world? If you do i give you x999
You can place more than 1 changer, but only after you've double clicked the first one to activate it. Or do you mean "changer" blocks
goldish block = controller
white blocks = changers.
EDIT: I'll be taking my diamonds now ty
No, sorry i meant changer blocks. NO! Give me them back >:C

Woah woah woah, how about we share? Besides i might still be able to help.
By putting controllers next to each other (linked with redstone) you can essentially have more changers. As when you flip the switch or push the button, it will activate all the controllers. This is how i made my stone/glass wall, which i posted on page 5. If you count the glass blocks, I'm over the limit, so it does work.
Thats gotta be worth at least 998 diamonds no?
I realize this, but i think it would be a lot more confinent to just have an infinite number of changers in your first controlerblock idk.. I'll give you 400 k :biggrin.gif:?

I suggested this a while back, but honestly its not really necessary. And (im not 100% on this) I think there are certain limitations that prevent more changers. Just be creative with how you hide your controllers, link them with redstone, and essentially you can have as many changers as you want.
400 diamonds, please be reasonable.
Main reason i suggest this is because of double switches. It is extremely difficult to set up an XOR gate with 5-10 controlerbloc's lol.
Fine 600?
@Jstar Hey awesome mod! i got few questions/requests
Can you please add name for controller block ingame? like when dragging mouse over diamond it says "Diamond block"
i want you to do that same for controller block mod, thx dud!
Ok
And also how can i change texture of controller block?
There's actually no way for the player to change this, because it is just a mixture of the iron block and the gold block textures.
thanx! just what i needed for my fort! (super awesome fence gate that looks like its held by ropes and then looks like its open when its open)

i got a texture pack now, its here it changes how armor and tools look and has a few slight changes to a few blocks in terrain like making the redstone torch look more like a redstone torch then a lollipop.
One little thing, any chance of making the sig a few pixels shorter? I hate scrolling down a page and running into peoples sigs where they're too tall.
Ok, I just updated the image. :wink.gif:

One observation. I noticed that when the crafted CB is first placed, the sides are mixed with iron and gold textures. I'm quite certain this wasn't the case before? It's purely cosmetic though, because the switch status reverts to gold/iron as before.
Yes, this is normal, but I think I'll change this, I'm using a HD texture pack (Balea) with the GLSL mod (with bumpmapping, see for exemple), and the effect isn't really good :tongue.gif:
I personally kinda like the gold/silver unset block thing, makes it it easier to keep track of which block I'm working with with when playing with a series for a staggered effect... even if you change away from the gold/silver, could you at least leave the unset block (hasn't been punched yet) something unique, and not the old gold (I think that's what it was, personally I don't care how the controller blocks look aesthetically... once I've got my devices set up I keep them hidden.
Also, a request/question: Would it be possible to have it either save metadata for the halfblocks, or copy metadata from nearby halfblocks... I tried to make an extending wooden bridge with halfblocks, but they became Stone Slabs when I activated it.
Something a bit more than above or below would be wonderful. For example
____
= =
with = being a double slab (on a layer below AND to the side) and _ being a regular Slab, of course if it can save the meta data of the item put into it, that would be better (since, unlike ladders and the like, you can know the proper metadata when it's put in). If not, oh well... this is still an awesome mod and glad to see it being updated again... I didn't discover it until shortly after the original version was out of date, and was disheartened to think I would never get to play with such an awesome mod.
Once I get a few more of my contraptions built (and figure out how to record non-watermarked video from MC) I'll post a few videos to inspire others... and show off a bit :biggrin.gif:
First video, showing a castle gate that raises and lowers in an animated fashion, and sound effects. Also shows how to make it... it's made for someone already reasonably familiar with redstone, so I don't show you how to make, for example, the needed XOR gate, just point that it's there... this is my first tutorial video, so I hope it's good enough to both show off what happens and how to make it... If you wanna link it as a demo of what can be done with controllerblock feel free, same goes with any future videos... Hopefully I'll have a few more interesting things
FINALLY!!!!!!

Thanks JStar! I'll have to use this version because ML v5 is not compatible with other mods I use (they are only v4 compliant!).
This mod uses 105, 106, 107, 108.
105 : Controller non activated.
106 : Controller activated on.
107 : Controller activated off.
108 : Changer.
