After taking a look through the ModLoader code I figured it out. Just put up a new .zip with support for modded items. Tested with Arrows mod so far. Please test with others.

Have a hotkey that brings up the menu when a chest or the inventory is open so that it's not there all the time.
It would be great to have a single hotkey that we can press and the mod remembers the last position used, i.e. if we press the hot key to close the mod from displaying then the next time that we play the game the display is closed, or if we leave it open then the next time it's open already when we open our inventory or a chest.
Uggh im such a noob on computers... cant even figure out how to download minecrafter... the only mod i was able to download was mo' creatures mod :tongue.gif:
a couple of questions, (before i d/load)
can you edit an exsisting stack?
can you delete items?
does it work in SMP?
does itwork with More id's mod?
does it have tool tips when you hover over the items in the side panel?
I too think that the toggle hotkey is also a great idea (setup using guiapi so its all enduser configurable)
I'd also like to have the hotkey work in normal game mode so you can quickly add stuff to your work bar. (IE: that you don't have to have inventory screen open)
No; I figured the most common operation is creating items so that's all it does. You can always get rid of items and then add new ones. It supports wool, dye, and wood types. There's no support for stacks that are bigger than normal, or unlimited durability tools. What else would you want to edit?

Add and to your inventory and make an incinerator :smile.gif:

Far as I know, no, since the inventory should be server-side.

does itwork with More id's mod?
It should. It reads whatever's in the game's list of items at runtime, so if the item list has been modded it'll read what's there.

Yes!
I'll think about the toggle/configuration idea. Right now I'm trying to whip my saplings mod into shape.
