Item IDs I'm trying to find, for starting inventory:
-The crystal wing, from, er, right here (is it 3100?)
-Risugami's Recipe Book
-Philosopher's stone, from Equivalent Exchange
Anyone got any idea on these?
(I've got it working successfully; just trying to get a good starting load that'll let me get to the engaging bits of play, rather than playing scavenger-hunt for fundamental tools.)
Not sure if anyone posted this or noticed or if its ever related to floating ruins mod, but when you are in a boat and going toward a ruin thats loading and press E or w/e to enter inventory game crashes!
That problem is related to the stringOfIds value in the mod_floatingRuins.cfg file, you probably have an extra ";" there. You can either try to fix it in the file or download the version I just uploaded that fixes it.
Notably, putting in the ID for the Philosopher's Stone? Game-crasher. This might be because it's in a zip file for modloader to access, rather than in the .jar proper? Dunno; all the other items I've tried out work very nicely indeed.
Any idea? Or would you need the report?
.....
For the floating ruins:
Is it possible to get Ghasts and the like to spawn outside the nether using this? I assume so, but would like to check.

If you're using the version I put up yesterday (without telling anyone, don't ask me why) items with a invalid id won't be given to the player.
I tried giving myself the philosopher's stone, and it turns out the props file for it uses the item id instead of the real id (that starting inventory uses), using item id + 256 will give you the right item. So, if the id in the props tell you 27270, the real id is 27526. I tried with that one and it worked. Also note that crystal wing uses the real id in its props file, that was changed some pages ago.

Ghasts may look weird on the normal world, but is possible! Just add them in the config file.
Sorry if I made myself incomprehensible at any point, my english is not very good.

Aha!
And, yeh, I'd got the wing working already. Many thanks!
ahh the end of that line in the cfg file had a ; so i think that was it, testing now!
Also when you say the version you just uploaded, is that a new version of the mod or just same one with updated config file or something else? sorry for the confusion.
edit:
apparenty that was it, thanks for the help! and the great mods!
When I say that it means that I have updated the version for download on the first page to a new one that won't crash if you have invalid text in the config file.
I've been using score for some time now. Its really great. I've added some custom mobs that work but I've just installed minimobs and try as I may I haven't been able to get them to register a score.
The odd thing is when I edit my score.txt file it shows as one long connected text rather than individual ones like in your illustration. Its always worked this way even when adding new mobs. I did however try to separate them onto separate lines but it crashed the game.
Anyway, I contacted the author of minimobs and he gave me their proper names for inclusion but it still doesn't work for me. I've tried different combinations for the names, varying the capitals but still no luck so my last option is to tell you which mod it is and hopefully you'll have a solution I can try. Thanks...........
The names for those mobs have space between them, wasn't that the problem?
Here's what I get with a decompiler:
Mini Spider
Mini Enderman
Mini Creeper
Mini Zombie
Mini Skeleton
Mini Chuck Norris
Mini Justin Bieber
Also notice that the text is showing as a long line because java uses a different character as a line separator, if you're using Windows I recommend downloading NotePad++ because it reads java lines correctly.

Thanks heaps for that Daft. I downloaded and installed notepad++ and I can see the difference in how it works compared to notepad. I've currently got my Free Commander set to use notepad whenever I press on certain ext files but can easily change it to use notepad++ in future.
As for the leaving spaces in the mini mobs, I tried it and just got a score from killing a mini creeper so it works. Well done, I never would have thought of that as I've been making my own mods [kinda] using the Cubex2 mod program and with that if you leave a space in block/item names it crashes the game so I'm programmed not to do that or even think that would work.
Edit - Resolved. Adding 256 to the listed ID from the config file resolved. Still would love the ability to add alternate tree types as an enhancement request - Edit
Greetings,
I love your mods, especially the treecapitator mod. A couple things I have been working on though if you might be able to assist.
First I am trying to add some support for the IC2 mod. Would like the bronze axe and chainsaw to be able to knock down trees. I found the IDs for them in the IC config file, but when I add those IDs to the treecapitator config file it is not working. If someone can help me figure out what I am doing wrong here it would be apreciated
Second I would love it if the config file could also have a section to add IDs for additional tree types. Such as the rubber trees from IC or some of the Aether trees. This would be great for helping to customize it for whatever mod an individual is running.
Thanks again though for the great mods and any help would be appreciated
can u please post older versions of the mods, especially treecapitator and floating ruins because I still like playing minecraft before adventure update (1.7.3)..
Love the Treecapitator mod quite useful and keeps me from wasting so much time hacking down trees, specially some arge ones.
ButI just have one suggestion since we have a confg file for the axes (or chainsaws since I use IC2) can you put in a config file so we can add custom trees since IC2 has Rubber Trees and Treecapitator does't effect them or any other modded in tree type.
Ah, good that you found them :smile.gif:

Alchemic Ash is my mod.
It's full of slime and furnaces and fireballs and magic gems and explosions and lightning.

He has seen you, and he doesn't like what he sees...
Do you have ModLoader installed? drop the zip file in your mods folder

And the Timber! mod ripped off someone else who made it before them only this one doesn't take down every log block connected, it only works on trees.
Get your facts straight and troll somewhere else.
It isn't SMP enabled so... Yes.
