I get that :S. Tried doing the path thing for java.exe but didn't work. What do I have to do :3.
Hey no one know what's going wrong for me here? Would like to get this mod working >_<.
I don't really know what's up with this one. Make sure you have the latest version of Java installed.
Hello Everyone,
I donno if this has been posted yet or not .. I did a scan thru the forum pages and didnt see anything like it..
I moved both base.fsh and base.vsh from the draxnitro-parallax occlusion folder and put them into the mods-->shaders-->files-->shaders folder and when I run the install I get this:

Ahhh I see well.. I know some things about computers and paths and all that but when it comes to decompiling and recompiling java files ... that's where I get lost haha
ty for the quick reply, I'll have to check out the GLSL without wild grass and see which one I prefer the most until a resolution can be made between the 2 mods :/
Trust mine to be awkward. However I'm sure it must be some error from me because: I've tried it now on 2 different computers, and they are different in a lot of ways, the other required me to put in the path for java.exe, however after I did that I got the same error "Could not find the main class: JarHelper. Program will exit." JarHelper is one of the files in the download is it not? Do I have to do anything with it? And yes I've downloaded+installed the latest java.
Not really sure where I'm going wrong but here's what I do:
Download the 1.2_02 for windows, click install(.bat) and then type "y" - after that I get the error. Is there any steps I'm missing? I must be doing something stupid to get the same error on 2 totally different computers?
Are there any weird characters like parenthesis in the path to install.bat?
when looking at something VERY close range (i.e. the block at your feet) the rest of the background will blur as if the dof was working properly.
i think that the way it should work, its the default shader that comes with it, try one of the shader in the folder daxnitro\mods\shaders\alternative shaders\
for example daxnitro-blatant dof, it has more visual effekt.
@Dilla
I didn't understand with this bump-mapping shader did. Can you explain? I saw the SSs and I didn't see anything exceptional. ;x
You have to see it in motion to understand, if you never have seen parallax mapping before. I cant really explain the effect in words. Maybe will help as an example

I have compiled patcher files that are compatible with wildgrass. If dax allows it, i could share/upload them. (But i wont have that much time to give technical support, it would be only the patcher files and the place where to put them)

Hey, good job! I would love to see one of those with a 128x128 texture pack. (Aza's Arid!)
Thank you. Maybe if i got some time left today, i'll see what i can do, but i cant promise anything :wink.gif:

Dilla, mind posting the final code that got your awesome normal/height maps working? :smile.gif:
It isnt my code, its from daxnitro, and it is already included in the newest version from the OP

How does one create a displacement map like that?
I'm interested but can't work it out.
For the height-alpha map, i just used a combination of a high-pass filter, desaturation and a change of the contrast.
The normal map is a combination of several emboss filters per color channel.
It's fine with me if you distribute the patcher files. In fact once you do it'd be nice to have a link to them on the wiki under the Wild Grass section of the Mod Compatibility page. :smile.gif:

Wow, that' pretty cool! Thanks for the answer. :biggrin.gif:
I got a fix for windows 7 64-bit users (Sorry if someone already said this, I'm not going to read through 40 pages.)
and remember, DO NOT add ANY quotation marks ( " )
1. Start
2. Search programs or files and type "Path"
3. Edit environment variables for your account
4. Look for "Path"
5. Edit the Variable, change to: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\;C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe"
6. Backup your minecraft.jar
7. Run install.bat
8. Type "Y"
9. Wait a couple of minutes
10. Profit.
daxnitro, is it possible for you to add an additional texture with the screen normals (for final.fsh) so i can start some experimenting with deferred shading? :smile.gif:
The 128x128 normal map looks a lot better, but it looks like the top side of my brick blocks is inverted. The bricks are depressed and the cracks are rising out of the top. I'll figure out what's causing this later. :tongue.gif:

Maybe i screwed up, as i was in a hurry. Sounds like i need to invert the normals.
For the height map, the more transparent it is, the "deeper" the height is, isn't it?
I think normal maps dont work without any lights.
Yeah the normal maps aren't really doing anything right now. Not with my shader anyways. They will soon though.
Yeah the more transparent it the texture is, the deeper it is. I think it's a bug on my part though. I don't think there's anything you could do to make the sides look right, but the top wrong.
Working on the GUI installer now . . . hopefully the first release will be done within a few days. I have big plans for it.
