There are a few minor texture issues on the Hidden door mod. When you turn on smooth lighting in minecraft, it is not applied to the bottom half of the HiddenDoor blocks, therefore rendering them visible to anyone who has Smooth Lighting set to on. As this occurs with regular doors as well, this may be unavoidable, but there is probably a way to get the smooth lighting code to work for the bottom block of your doors.
I have tested this will all 8 door types, and all of them have this issue. On the bookshelves, it isn't nearly as noticeable as on the others. The snow door is the worst one by far. In order from most noticeable to least noticeable with Smooth Lighting activated goes as follows:
Snow Door
Sandstone Door
Stone Door
Brick Door
Dirt Door
Cobblestone Door (about the same as dirt door)
Netherrack Door
Bookshelf Door (pretty much unnoticeable)
I tested this both at day and at night, with and without torches and other light sources. Here are the results:
Lava - renders almost all the doors unnoticeable. I did not place lava directly in front of the door.
Glowstone - Renders all doors except stone, sand, and snow unnoticeable. The glowstone was placed on the floor block in front of the door.
Torch - No difference in noticing the doors, but there is a difference in the lighting of the top block of each door. You'll have to check this one out for yourself. There was one torch on each side of the door on the second block up.
Redstone Torch - Sandstone and snow stayed highly noticeable while all the others became less noticeable (where it applies). Stone became about on-par with netherrack or in noticeability.
Jack 'o' Lantern - same results as Glowstone. Jack 'o' lanterns were placed in the floor.
There may be further testing to do to figure out everything with this bug, but this is all the testing I personally did.
this guy is actually really clever hes made his mods not compatible with his own mods... sry for that sarcasm it was uncalled for but i mean really youve made your own mods uncompatible with YOUR OWN MODS!! which means i have to uninstall 1 mod to test out another...
Uh, no I haven't made my mods incompatible with each other, maybe you should learn to install mods properly.

Massive amounts of facepalm coming your way any second now... Timber is Tehkrush's mod. (see the OP note)
Maybe soon. Definitely after the source code (it's not called a mod api) is released.

In other matters, can I assume you are waiting for the 1.7 update to release PlasticCraft with extractors?

Yes, you probably just need to change some block IDs.
