Okay, I really want to use this mod but I need to know one thing first: How the hell do I open up the minecraft.jar file? That's the one thing you don't explain.

I need no tall grass to complete the Misa's texture pack!
To me, it's all about the texture, not the additional sprites and all that assorted bullcrap!

Well pardon me. I didn't know WinRar could also open .jar files.

Shocker, you own this mod. Could you tell me why my texture pack wild grass stays colored grey instead of being biome relevant. Like grass.
Does your texture pack replace the grasscolor.png? I've seen a few that replace it with a greyscale image, and have the grass section in their terrain.png colored.
Hello,
first i want to say, that i love this mod. A big THANK YOU to the creator (ejhopkins)!
Now i have a question:
Is it normal that in the new version of the mod the grass grows very slow?
I created a new world and waited for over an half hour and even in tree jungles they is hardly
any grass. Only some low level grass, but most grass blocks have no grass at all on it.
Do i have to wait longer? Or is something wrong?
I used the vanilla version on a clean minecraft. And after that i installed it with
better grass and light also with the proper version of wild grass. In both cases
i have the same problem.
No that is not normal, I'm not sure what is causing it... If you hadn't said that you using a clean minecraft I would have thought it was caused by another mod changing the meta data on grass blocks. ... If you hadn't said that you tried it on a new world, I would have thought it was caused by grass already being set to 0 or 1, and would tell you to use the RESET mod to change it to -1.
Otherwise I have no idea, unless Notch made a new update that is causeing problems with it. I'm not at home so I can't see. Anyone else having this problem?
Forgive me for asking something that was most likely answered thousands of times in the pages before, but I just don't have the time right now to skim each page looking for a solution.
I'm using the vanilla version of Minecraft/WG with a John Smith texture pack (and nothin' else), but every time I do the texture fix with MCpatcher the water becomes blue lines. I'm assuming that MCpatcher is the culprit, but I just can't stand playing with broken 32x32 textures. D:
Is there an alternative, compatible texture patcher or am I just doin it rong?

Well that hardly has anything to do with WildGrass at all but who would I be if I would not try to help you anyway...
I pretty much sure you are using an outdated version of mcpatcher. The old one only works with normal texture packs but you need the latest one to get custom water/lava/portals (all that nifty moving texture stuff).
So try the latest one from the related thread and you should be fine.

Oh god, reading back on how I asked that I realized how stupid I was for not thinking of that. I just figured that if I didn't find something to fix the problem I'd need to play without WIldGrass and just the thought of that scares me.

Thanks for the help though!
EDIT: Seems like when I use the updater it turns my netherrocks into water blocks, etc, so it doesn't fully fix the problem. But since this doesn't have much do with Wild Grass (as far as I know) I'll ask around over at MCpatcher's thread. Sorry!
Hey, I install GERUDOKU Texture Pack Remix viewtopic.php?f=1021&t=77619. I install it with his instructions along with all the recommended Mods he referred except your Wild Grass Mod. He said it supports Wild Grass. I installed Better Light and Better Grass on Minecraft Beta 1.2_01. I don't fully understand your instructions. Do I replace or override the files (terrain.png, qp.class, ht.class, bt.class) into the minecraft.jar file. This would mean that your terrain.png will be replace or override GERUDOKU texture (terrain.png). Is that correct. Am I missing something? What's the proper way to install it? I want to keep my texture pack that is not in-game loaded but as default. Thanks.
For some reason, my stone Hoe does not do anything at all, to grass, to empty grass blocks, or to dirt. Nothing.
I'm using Misa's 64x64 pack, BL&BG, and your Wild Grass (the BL&BG compatible version, all installed correctly and in this order).
I love it!

Same here. I think after this recent update that BL+BG isn't compatable with wild grass.
(edit: nvm, it works, idk what I did to fix it, but it works lol.)
PS. Why is my wild grass showing up grey? I copy pasted one set of wild grass onto my own custom pack and now the wild grass shows up grey. Help?

I zap people. I zap them in the head, feet, hands, arms, eyes, ears and their genit.....
Whoops!

I installed this (since I was using your Mineral's mod as well), and I am now getting solid biome color blocks where grass should be.

I am using just the usual one, for the beta. (Non vanilla)
