When it's done. (tm)I'm very busy at the moment, but I just need to put a few finishing touches on the installer before release.
You just made me rather happy.
I've been avoiding committing to 1.7.x and 1.8.x, because I have become heavily dependant on the "cheats" part of SPC (specifically, I've created a massive list of teleportation locations, via waypoint, and set the list up in Macros as a drop down menu, to select *~where~* to teleport me, just by pressing my Xbox 360's Back Button, and then clicking the button menus on my GUI).
So hearing that you're actually continuing the project... well, I'm rather happy. I mean, I know I could just use VoxelMap, and the teleportation feature for its' waypoints, but it requires a bunch of annoying extra steps, that I don't feel like doing. Especially not on a controller (I can't play with Keyboard/Mouse, because of my CTS). Plus, while I do dig the new Commands in Vanilla Minecraft, that mimic WorldEdit, it's extremely limited in terms of what it can do... so I really miss *~real~* WorldEdit.
Thank you, Q3! I look forward to seeing SPC make its' debut in 1.7.x/1.8.x!
So wait from what I'm reading and hearing in this thread...
• Single Player Commands and World Edit require Forge now? They didn't before; I used them with MCPatcher's HDFix, they were really helpful tools for my game.
• SPC/WE does not have a 2.7.2+ (I'm not going by Mojang's inability to count) version, and will update to it after Forge updates if at all?
That would be a huge bummer if this editing tool forced you to use Forge, I mean Forge is a very broken and hard to install 'tool' as it is. Even with the installer it's a real pain to have to constantly manually install every single mod then remove every single mod when you want to do something different. Why would you downgrade from easy-access to "lets make everyone's lives a living hell"?
Anyway I'm just curious as to whats going on, maybe someone can help.

Not sure what your exacly talking about, most of the community uses forge. You do realize that with the new launcher you can set up multiple instances of different Minecraft set-ups don't you? You are not limited to just the one set-up anymore that you have to change mods to try a different set of mods. You can easily add a new instance with the same version and put all different mods in it.

A lot of people use Forge yes, but it doesn't mean Forge doesn't have it's flaws. I'm not going to mention some of the more "PR" based problems with the program, but I find it very difficult to use Forge for everything since it's a very fickle beast. If you don't have a 100% clean install it will usually corrupt your data; backing up is always wise mind you too, but with the risk should come a great reward. Right now I don't use it because every single time I've used it nothing worked correctly and nothing meshed together well. With MCPatcher's HDFix you get not only a friendly HuD that helps you install things, but you get to test it and see errors out right so you know what's broken and what isn't. Not to mention I'd really rather not have to constantly move mods around or refresh the damn jar every time I want to use mods on one world but not on another. You say there are multiple set-ups but I'm still not going to play with it, it's broken my stuff before so I'm not trustin it.
As for SPC/WE - will it "require" Forge or simply a friendly suggestion? If it requires Forge then I guess I better find an alternative.
Are you sure these instructions are up to date? There is no "bin" folder in .minecraft.
They're correct!
Your question has been asked and answered a few hundred times; find one!
Find one of my installation directions, use q3's SPC, and you don't need that directory.
The key to all these ends requires you read!
@ LE_Vaughn:
If a non-Forge version is required, it's time for you to move on IMO!
Not sure what's your problem with Forge. I installed it more then one time without any problems at all.
Sure it has some bugs, like these strange error messages that filling the console in the last version of Forge... but except of that there are no problems and I'm sure that they'll fix that error messages bug real soon.
It's much easier to use forge then to patch the minecraft jar all the time to replace a mod.
Looking for SPC for 1.7.4 I'm missing the cool features worldedit it'll save me a lot of time.
Forge requires you to manually add files to various locations; constantly reminding yourself to keep adding or subtracting things to the folders will get tiresome organized or not. You often times have conflicting mod's that you must - in a lot of cases - use trial and error to find out whats wrong and what isn't. You have to constantly refresh your jar every time you need to start clean, and you need to install tons of mods just to get one thing to work.
MCPatcher is quite different; you download the mods you want, select them in the friendly HuD, then click patch. It adds everything, tells you what is conflicting with one another, alerts you to everything you need to know. It also comes with several HD fixes that include texture blending and softening, where as the alternative "Optifine" is meant only to help Minecraft run better.
Now I've spoken to Lex Manos (sp) about Forge and MCPatcher several times, and considering the response is to literally ban people from their website just for asking - and flaming them with racial slurs - I'm pretty much convinced that Forge isn't anything but an elitist thing. I'm not willing to deal with the hassle of the poor community or the poor design regardless of the modifications that run off Forge. Forge is only required when you add new blocks to the existing game - as far as I'm aware - so I see no reason why WE/SPC should require it when it hasn't used it for years.
I made a new profile in Minecraft and I set it to play in version 1.2.5. I downloaded the automated installation for 1.2.5 and tried to install it, but if I click "Start Minecraft" nothing happens, and when I go in as my 1.2.5 profile, the chat doesn't come up with I press the keyboard control for it.
How can I install SPC manually so that I can use it in my 1.2.5 profile?
I am using the most recent update of the Minecraft Launcher, and I have Windows 8.1, thank you.
I am using windows 8 and trying to install it on minecraft 1.7.2.
You can't install it on Minecraft 1.7.2, as this mod has not been released for that version.
If it helps, you can find a 1.6.4 version (because the version posted in the OP isn't compatible with 1.6.4) here, but there have been no releases after that as of typing this.

Really not sure whats been going on, but SPC just hasn't ever worked for me. When I use the sphere brush it crashes, and just recently I made a wall across my world with the wand. Afterwards, I couldn't move and was frozen in place. I tried killing myself, but when I respawned I was still frozen. I've tried making maps with this, but Its pretty hard to do when all of the great options in the mod make your game crash. If someone needs more information or can help me, feel free. Until then, I'm unimpressed with the mod.
Could anyone help? When I installed it, Minecraft opened and worked, but when I tried to open a world, it would hang on Loading World...
EDIT: Turns out I was trying to install it for 1.6.4 Anyways, I tried for the correct version, and when I try to play, it kicks me back to the launcher, saying something about a bad exit state with exit code 1.
Did you update?
Did you not use all previous Mods?
Often when a Mod creates a non vanilla block or item what you complain of happens.
There are mods that remove those blocks, try Google to find one.
You might also try a new world. If it won't open the problem is your installation.
It's been almost 5 pages since I last posted "My Installation Guide": http://www.mediafire.com/view/z5bwq7jzq7e58f3/AllSPC_Install.pdf
I've been trying to install this mod. Everything seemed to be going fine until i tried loading the new profile under the SPC version. Every time i try to use that profile, when it finishes loading the launcher comes back up. There are no error messages, and the game does not start. What did i do wrong and how do i fix it?

There probably is an error message under the Development Console tab in the launcher, MC does things that way now. That way you're not forced to see the message if you don't want to. Post what you see under the Development Console tab here, and be sure to use spoilers. From what you say, it seems like the game is crashing during init, so it could be any number of things going wrong.
