3. Copy your .minecraft\saves and .minecraft\screenshots folders to somewhere outside the .minecraft folder as a backup.
...
14. In the the .minecraft\versions\1.6.2.mods folder you made, open the file you just renamed (1.6.2.mods.json) with Notepad, Vi or Vim.
15. Find the line inside .minecraft\versions\1.6.2.mods\1.6.2.mods.json that says: "id": "1.6.2" (the quotes will be inside the json file, too). The line is probably right in the beginning.
16. Change line inside 1.6.2.mods.json which says "id": "1.6.2" to match the 1.6.2.mods folder so it looks like this: "id": "1.6.2.mods" (the quotes need to be included, too.)
the installation instructions in the txt file are confusing because of the bin folder not being around anymore. can you revise those instruction please? also i ran into a problem with Player API and yet you stated that it is compatible yet i dont know why mine wont work:
PlayerAPI: SPC installed incorrectly
that is my only problem
i wish i knew how to install it correctly. Can you give a better explanation maybe?
i have the files in the jar file except for world edit. Where do i put WOrld EDit?
thanks in advance
I'm having a prooblem withthe instalation instructions:
1. Close Minecraft launcher (if open) DONE
2. Navigate to where minecraft is installed (eg: on Windows %appdata%/.minecraft) DONE 3. Go to versions and copy the version directory (eg: 1.6.2) and name it something else (eg: 1.6.2.mods). Alternatively, if you have done this for another mod already backup the Minecraft version. DONE 4. Open the jar file (using an archive utility, such as 7zip) in the mod directory you created (eg: 1.6.2.jar) and copy all of the files into it except for WorldEdit.jar DONE 5. Delete the files in the META-INF directory except for MANIFEST.MF
6. Close the jar file DONE 7. Copy WorldEdit.jar into .minecraft/binDONE 8. Rename the jar file to the same name as the directory (eg: 1.6.2.mods.jar)Renamed WorldEdit.Jar to 1.6.2.mods.jar
9. Rename the json file to the same name as the directory (eg: 1.6.2.mods.json).... there.... is.... no Json file...
Okay, so i have followed every step in the instructions correctly, but when i get in game it says the SPC yellow text, and then it says that it can't find the WorldEdit.jar in the minecraft./bin folder. YET, i have done that exactly. I Had to make a new bin folder which was empty, i had then put the WorldEdit.jar in there which is on the instructions and i had clearly done it all correct.
Please help!
Try these installation instructions, Determine what version of SPC you're using (there are 5), and read carefully #15.
SPC Manual Installation Instruction: http://www.mediafire...nstallation.pdf
If using q3's it doesn't belong in the \bin
If installing 1.6.2~V4.9, look at your path as well it should be *\.minecraft\bin. If it doesn't end like this it's in the wrong place! Create a \bin Folder - This was done on a Vista; other operating systems may differ slightly:
Click “Start”.
Click “Run”.
Type “%appdata%\.minecraft” then click OK.
Choose the “Make a new folder" option.
Name it bin.
Put the WorldEdit.jar in it.

That's about it so far.
Look closely at 1.6.2. It should contain a 1.6.2.json. If not that is corrupt. Download a new 1.6.2 and try again. You might try my instruction above. It makes sure the new version opens before you add your next Mod. The Mod won't work if the version won't open!
Just out of curiousity, has the /health infinite command been fixed?
It's not a really big deal, I was just wondering if anything has changed in the mod.
I wouldn't expect a change before MC updates again. Depending on how difficult to fix what 1.6.# broke, maybe not even then!

How can I make this work for LAN? Every time I open my world to LAN spc stops working.
Read the title of the mod very slowly and maybe a couple of times if you need to. Maybe you can find the very important key words in the title to answer your own question

I know it says single player commands, but all over the internet it says this command works easily for LAN. I just can't figure out how.
Would someone mind helping me with installation?
...\.minecraft\bin\ doesn't exist. I created a new directory for it, but it doesn't cut it. I did copy the WorldEdit.jar into there, and everytime I enter a world a message appears saying the World Edit file cannot be found.

When will automatic installer out. I tried to install.mod to forge version to work with other forge mods bit it didn't worked.
There are 5 different 1.6.2 versions with 3 different installation procedures.
I suggest you try my installation instructions, the auto install may be a long wait!
They are on this page above.
I made a few corrections for you.
