I hope all you pc users die a slow and painful death
your instructions are un-mac worthy and frustrating
the shame
It has VERY little to do with OS and more to do with the user.
Installing in 1.6.2 is not that hard once you figure out that it's almost identical to installing before. Instead of installing into the bin folder you're just doing it in a different location.
Don't use a different OS as an excuse for not reading and then blame everyone else. XD
I'm serious, if you follow instructions and pay attention to what's going on in the thread you can get the mod running without trouble. Just slow down and pay attention to what you're doing.
Also, is it just me or is the health command borked?
I type in /health infinite, which used to make it so that I could play survival without dying constantly (I like to eat things, but I hate getting murdered constantly. Don't hate. XD)
But instead of setting infinite health, it just gives me 20 health as normal. Puzzling!
(I am using the beta version with Forge, so perhaps that's part of it?)

It does the same with Risu's. No matter what you input for /heal it gets capped at 20.
Very small problem. Before heading to the end, I'll bind a /heal 20 command.
Brilliant! Looks like my suggestion, which I made a while ago, was heard I love to use XCommands for WE, it's light and works like a charm. Will you port CUI for GUI for WE selection to SPC as well?
Also I note a small issue in the 5.0 dev build. When WorldEdit.jar isn't put into the spc folder the message in game still says it has to be put in the bin folder. I know, it actually isn't an issue, but it'll save your time explaining to others, who don't read the instuctions, on how to install this mod even in the dev build stages.
Only because I'm such a picky old turd, but I have to agree with this. Also q3 and simo must arrive at a common place for the WE.jar. simo's current choice will require a WE.jar be placed in each version of MC. For that reason alone I like q3's choices better.

do you even have a mac? If you think you can do better then buy a mac and do it. Don't just accuse me of being an idiot If you haven't even been able to install it on a mac yourself
The /reach command only works with Forge, since Forge has the necessary hooks for it.
I didn't actually try testing it with Minecraft 1.6.2 (since I had issues installing Forge),
but I'll try again and see if I can determine why /reach isn't functioning correctly..
I was using forge I discovered it only works with Forge when I used modloader and the reach didn't appear in /help. Thanks for re-implementing the reach command. When I used Magiclauncher to load this I can't use World Edit in the bin but SPC works. IDK if this is a WE problem or a SPC problem.

If flat there are a few commands. If stepped there is no easy way.
These two commands lists are more descriptive than most. Spend a few minutes and read them.

I recommend you copy your worlds often. The Wand is behaving better than it has in a long time but a momentary lapse in concentration can ruin many days of work.

Thanks, that's a really thorough list! MUCH better than stumbling blindly through the wiki. I'll keep your advice in mind about backups. With tools like this, there's no way to guarantee stability while it's in use anyway, since nothing is stopping you from doing something world-breakingly stupid.

Hey dude, I'm a Mac user and I didn't have any problem installing this. Granted, I've installed mods before. Listen, if you want access to your Application Support folder, click on your desktop, choose "go" from the dropdown menu and hold the OPTION key. Suddenly you'll see a listing for "Library". Click it and navigate to application support, then the minecraft folder. (FYI, if you're using MultiMC, simply right-click the application, choose "show package contents" and then navigate into Resources) After that, all instructions for installing any mod are exactly the same. 99% of the time, mod install failures are the result of forgetting to delete META-INF and have nothing to do with OS.
I recommend dragging the app support folder into the Finder's favorites section for easy future access. Not just for minecraft but for modifying/troubleshooting any programs you have. You could also use the Terminal to change folder permissions and simply make it visible, but meh. Nobody got time for that

No, I will not port WorldEditCUI to SPC, it requires too many hooks to get it working,
SPC does however have the necessary code to use WorldEditCUI if installed.
Yeah, I noticed the message was wrong, I'll fix it in the next development build
So... When I do all the steps right like naming everything the same i get an error. Is there an easy way to install this for forge like dropping it into the mods folder? I need help now.
Why the hell don't you guys have a thread somewhere where you can discuss Mac problems?
I've seen far too many times someone comes here floundering, finds an answer, and treats it as top secret (modifying the com folder comes to mind). Again, why?
Please take a few minutes and modify this for a Mac.
You can PM me and I'll make necessary changes or you can post your own installation instruction for a Mac.

Please write it from just above being able to power up the Mac. PC users today need almost that level of how to.

Here is the instructions that I did to try and get spc working
1. Located minecraft folder
2. located versions folder
3. copied 1.6.2 folder and renamed it MC1.6.2
4. opened folder and added MC to 1.6.2.jar and 1.6.2.json
5. opened MC1.6.2.json and changed Id to MC1.6.2
6. Unarchived MC1.6.2.jar into a folder and renamed the other folder MC.1.6.2.jar and the original folder MC1.6.2.backup7
7. Copied all contents except world edit into the folder
8. deleted all META-INF's Both in minecraft.jar and MC1.6.2.jar
9. created a Mods folder in the mine craft directory and created a folder inside that is called spc
10. placed world edit into spc folder
11. opened minecraft launcher
12. went into edit profile
13. selected MC1.6.2 and saved changes
14. pressed launch button and this happened
If I'm doing something wrong please tell me
P.S i don't have forge is this a problem
Has the command for disabling all weather changed? "weather rain disable" appears to be acting like "toggle downfall" (where the rain comes back the next time it's supposed to happen) and "weather disable" is giving me an error.
Finster: SPC is still only good for Minecraft version 1.5.2, whereas you appear to be using 1.6.2
Personally, I recommend downloading MultiMC for pre 1.6 mods. When creating a new Minecraft instance, you can set the Minecraft version to nearly any previous version, and to install Forge on an instance, you just click the "install forge" button. Plus there's no jar editing required: just place jar mods like this one in the "inst mods" tab. Extremely handy.
@ Finster1234;
Complain to the guy that made you buy the Mac! He might care...
I've seen you far to many times already. Whatever you're given as a solution you won't even try! Just don't use SPC! Make it easy for the rest of us!!!

/weather rain toggles it on or off.
That particular command has a You Tube link, watch the movie!

MagicLauncher and SKMCLauncher both perform much the same for 1.5.2 and below.
