The biggest error I saw was the "OpenAL library." Could that be the problem?

There was nothing else? Did you enter a world? The openal stuff is your sound engine cannot be initialised, probably a memory issue, so it isn't that. Can you try using the installer to install, it sometimes fixes things.

Okay, it works. Thanks for your help!! Probably should have tried that earlier!
I'm probably an idiot, but I can't get the command console to come up. I've used the default "T", changed it to a host of other keys I could use for chat, and nothing works. I'm going to try the installer to see if that helps.

It is the same chat key as SMP. If that doesn't work you probably missed copying one of the files. Try using the installer

I have a specific question about a function in worledit and I asked it several times without answer. I even ask it in sk89q's forum without answer too. Can you tell me what is the "official" thread for worledit on minecraftforums, the popular one, cos' I search and I think I don't ask my issue at the right place (if you can provide a link), so I can ask my issue properly.
If you want to know my specific question (it's about the range distance of the super pickaxe), i asked it there with details (but this thread seems to be dead, not sure): http://www.minecraft...0#entry13755880
(it's nothing to do with the update since I'm still working with v.3.2 in MC1.2.3)
Thanks for helping me (if you're not too busy)

Have you tried using the /reach command? Superpickaxe shouldn't destroy blocks more tjan your reach distance away
I'm kind of new to this, so bear with me. I downloaded the mod yesterday, when it was still 1.2.3; my minecraft version was already 1.2.4. When I went to play minecraft, it would start with the Mojang screen, then go black a second later. After this, nothing else could fix it. I re-downloaded the mod today, when it was 1.2.4. The same thing is still happening and I can't play minecraft. Does anyone know what is wrong?\

Force update your Minceraft, then install the mod.

Have you tried using the /reach command? Superpickaxe shouldn't destroy blocks more tjan your reach distance away
hmmm, I didn't know that command (there's a lot, I didn't try them all)...
... so I tried it; the chat menu confirms my new reach distance (I set it at 15 blocks)...
... unfortunatly, I still can destroy a block 40 blocks away from me.. so I didn't work.
(I know I did it right, I set again the reach, at 1.0... could not place a block, but still can destroy any with super pickaxe and even select with wand tool objects 40-50 blocks away from me)
If you find something else, please tell me.
About the worldedit thread, was I at the right place or there's a more official one? - thanks again!
(precision: using spc v3.2, when I type //worldedit version, it says: 5.3)
simo, thanks for fixing the /biome command that caused me great stress with my map. I'll be sure to test this when I can.
Also, I don't think you got my reply about maybe taking advantage of the new chat features of 1.2.4? Or are they SMP only?
The biggest error I saw was the "OpenAL library." Could that be the problem?

The installer worked. Thanks
What's your problem with it?

Try going into options, when you start minecraft, click force update and reinstall the mod(s) for 1.2.4

I had to make a merge with one of my friends mods (they both edited vq.class)
But it was really simple (really it was) he just added a few lines of code to that class
But it was my first merge which im happy off
But thank you for making the SPC MCP
(so much paragraphs LOL)
