You mean an outdated version of Minecraft no one should be using anymore? Yeah, of course.
Yeah, the outdated version that the mass majority of a modded Minecraft play. No one should be using it? Well they do, for a reason. I'd love to be playing 1.9 right now, but if there's 1000x more content for 1.7.10... I chose 1.7.10, along with the mass majority. 1.7.10, whether you like it or not, is the current standard for a modded minecraft. Do not chose to impose your will or perspective on the larger majority's rationale. Especially when the developer themselves are in favor of keeping the standard through the latest supported, keeping all happy. Furthermore, you disappoint a larger majority by halting support for 1.7.10. This is the case moving forward as well with other versions. A slightly older version will always be the standard, due to Minecraft's core. While it's significantly more difficult for a developer to manage all these versions, it is unfortunately what it is.
when he have time to downport the mod to 1.7.10 a lot of people will already have moved to 1.8.9
That is an extreme and false prediction. My fault though, bad wording; not downport, update. There already exists a version for 1.7.10. For one modder to update his mod, even if he took his time which is totally ok, would take a significantly shorter span of time than thousands of mods ported or created for newer versions. 1.7.10 is not dying soon, we are handfuls of months away from that.
Stop arguing against the desire for a developer to keep everyone happy. Literally, no reason for that. I'm not going to rage if he dumps 1.7.10, but god bless him for not.
I have been unable to work on the mod for the last few weeks, as I'm in the process of moving and all my spare time is consumed by the never ending task of packing. I have a full time job as well, so no free time for modding for now. I hope to restart work in the mod in a few weeks, to finish the big Cat overhaul, port the mod to 1.8.9 and then port all of the changes to 1.7.10
Let me start with that, his words.
Now your words:
"so it may be time to leave 1.7.10 for what it is and move on."
The essence of my argument.
Now my words:
Ok, never once advocated updating a mod to a newer version should be delayed. I'm not even saying that updating a current version is priority over a newer version, I do believe the opposite. The mod developer himself seems to be indicating that a 1.8.9 mod would come with content before a 1.7.10 content mod, then providing 1.7.10 that same content. The mod developer said he wants to update 1.7.10, and in response a couple individuals spoke out against that. Why would you want to halt him from updating, any version? People use that version, in case of 1.7.10 the majority do. Simply because you play another, newer version, you should not go barking and imposing your selfish will or perspective on the developer, who has his own agenda of what he wants to do, to cut off a version and thus cut off 1.7.10 players off. Ask for an update for your version, but do not fight against other versions - especially the current standard, and especially if the mod developer himself aims at what he wants to support. As I said before, I wouldn't be making this case if the developer had made a statement about him halting support for 1.7.10, that is his choice, instead individuals are trying to spur him to make that choice. You, in particular also are. I've read some of your previous posts about giving gratitude and respect to the developer, also asking others to respect his agenda of development. Here, you hypocritically contrast that by claiming he cut off a specific version and then outline what his development plans should entail. This is the first time I have experienced people literally telling a developer to narrow his version support and leave one behind, astonished that I even am.
On the other note, major mods have made the upgrades to newer versions, that does not mean a substantial amount of mods have to the extent that the larger majority can move onto that version. You then leave the larger majority behind, while many are strapped to that version because of a wide array of mods that exist, that do not exist in the later versions. 1.7.10 will be left behind, but not so immediately.
The developer wants to make 1.7.10-1.8.9 happy. That is his agenda. Stop getting amidst that. God bless you, Dr. Zhark.
Yes, copy and paste your crash report onto here. Please for the love of god, when you do, click on the exclamation point found on the editing bar above where you type and paste all of it into the spoiler container.
I found a solution that only helps in part. It resets Mo Creatures progress but at least keeps the same world. Simply update without mods, update the world then install the mods. Thanks
Hi friends, does anybody know if Mo Creatures v8.0.1 is compatible with any of the minor 1.8.1-1.8.8 updates? (like servers are?) I'd love to avoid all the bugs and security issues. q:

I think it is, but it's not that stable and has a handful of bugs.
been trying to get this mod running well for a while. was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction of some system that can deal with this mod and the way mobs spawn in minecraft.. ive been dickin around with it with my friends for a while trying different mob spawn control systems and we just cant seem to find a realistic balance. always the spawning is out of whack in some way. any help would be well appreciated !
I want to lose generation entities, 300 entities are currently generated on the map.
I remember there was a command to set the limit of entities, I could mention me?
Please Make wolves Tamable their detail is amazing and I think that they should be like vanilla Wolves But More detailed. Also I think You should make it a little harder to tame them but make their health Higher once tamed and Attack Damage Higher.
and Last but not least, they should have to sit to get them to not follow you and if their not sitting they follow you where ever or teleport to you if your to far away.
Besides, the MoCreatures website say exactly the same, claiming "This mod can not be distributed in any other way than through this website."
Shouldn't this be changed to: "[...] through this website, the official mc forum thread (link) and curseforge (link)." on both locations and maybe even be added to the Curse(Forge) download page?
Also, I am having a discussion with VerusAnimus, who added this mod's Curse download to his Curse Launcher "modpack". Would that be legal? Every user's Curse client would download it directly from Curse, so would that be counted as a download from an official location?
Hmm now this has me wondering. xD Well I will wait for an answer, and remove the mod from my Curse Pack if in fact this is DrZharks wish.
Note I did not upload it, its downloaded through Curse like said above. Any one with the Curse launcher downloads it the same way.

These Wolves are meant for people to turn werewolves.
If you ask him to put, you can die from the game because wolves will aggressively attack you to death unlike wolves.

I've been playing 1.6.4 and tried updating to 1.8 but I get this error.
"The world LP contains pre-update modding data.
There may be problems updating it to this version
FML will save a zip to LP-090316145901.zip
Do you wish to continue?"
If I load the world, all the blocks have changed and do not make sense.
Not the best solution when I have a world I put a lot of work into and don't want to restart.
So basically with every update we're screwed and have to start a new world? Cause that's how it seems

I'm on 1.7.10 so please add this when you can, Just a note that I still play on 1.7.10
It works, since it doesn't change/add any blocks or biomes

Hello,
I want to lose generation entities, 300 entities are currently generated on the map.
I remember there was a command to set the limit of entities, I could mention me?
Thank you.

I finally got some free time and was able to update MoCreatures to 1.8.9. Once I get ahold of DrZhark, we can release an update =).

Oh yeah, he don't take ideas.
