I've used the mod before, and love the new mobs and variety. Thanks for continuing to work on it.
However, I am having trouble getting it to run with the new release. All is updated as indicated in your thread, GUI and Custom Mob Spawner work, but when I add in Mo' Creatures, I get this:

Nothing happens when I drop the mo creatures and GUIapi zips into the /mods folder. The other two necessary mods are functioning just fine, but just putting the zip files in the mods folder doesn't do anything.
I had this mod installed back a few minecraft versions ago, and just putting the zip files into the mods folder didn't do anything then either. I eventually got mo creatures to work by doing something else with the files, but I don't remember what. So....how do I get this mod to actually work?
After installing this, the mod itself works perfectly, but something weird is happening. All of my animations (moving fire, moving water, moving lava, etc) are sped up, as in move really fast. It looks like someone took a recording of the animation and then sped it up 2x
anyone else get this problem?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
(10/5/15) If you want to have a laugh, go look at some of my posts from back in ~2010 ( i was 10/11 what can i say)
Check the global mod settings for mo creatures and there might be one that is titled "Old World" or "New World" (Im not sure if this is still there as I have not downloaded the mod yet for 1.4). If it is there then switch it to the opposite of whatever it is currently set to. Hopefully that will fix the problem
I had forgotten about that, as it was indeed in the 1.3.2 update for as little as I used it before going 1.4 but it's not there anymore. That or I'm blind, but I looked under all the animal options and under 'other settings' but it's not there at all. I had hoped that might be a solution, too *sigh*

So Forge is working? It should generate a log in your .minecraft folder if so. Post that. If it's not generating one, then Forge isn't working and start there..

:3 You don't put the GuiApi mod into the /mods folder! I'll tell you how to install it.
Drag everything from Minecraft Forge and GuiApi into the minecraft.jar.
Then, you drag CustomMobSpawner and Mo' Creatures into the /mods folder.
Then you're done!
Trust me, this is my most favorite mod ever. I know how to install it. xD

Hm, nevermind. It seems to be a conflict with mc patch that's causing the problem.
Okay, new question-- how do I get mo creatures and mc patch to work at the same time?

I'm sorry, I said that backwards. I was putting the customspawner zip into the mods folder, not guiapi.
I any case, I can get mo creatures to work, but not when using mc patch at the same time.
Hm, nevermind. It seems to be a conflict with mc patch that's causing the problem.
Okay, new question-- how do I get mo creatures and mc patch to work at the same time?
Forge and MCPatcher are not compatible, so I don't think that's going to happen. You can use Optifine to get all the features of MCPatcher, though. MultiMC or Magic Launcher can handle the mod loading process, and not add extra stuff to your jar in the process.
Can't play it
Keep getting a black screen, after it loads the Mojang screen.
I'm sure I installed it right, like 7 times in a row.
But in the Forge mod is a file 'META INF'
Do I need to delete that one or not? Confusing.
Please help me!
I have made the install video, DrZhark hasnt updated the OP yet though....
I am having an issue where I turned the vanilla monsters off in the global mod settings, but they still keep spawning. Has anyone else had this issue and know how to fix it?
Nah dont be silly, modding you Minecraft isnt easy, thats why I make the install tutorials to help people.

Yes there is, when you start the server it makes a config folder and in there is the file to edit.

""This might seem like a dumb question but does this mod work with server 1.4.2? trying to glean from the forums it seems like everyone is doing lan.

Yes it is, I have made the SMP install video but having trouble uploading to youtube, I will post once it finally gets there sorry...

""how to do you craft an essence of light""
By reading the OP under horses, under the recipes for the other essences it says "The Essence of Light is made by combining the other three essences"
I will get back to you all once the other SMP video is done, try to help each other ok...

Until I can get the SMP video uploaded here is a quick install rundown.
Make a folder anywhere.
Open the folder and drop in minecraft_server.jar (get it from minecraft.net)
Make a mods folder.
Open the jar and drop in the files from the same Forge you used for ssp (its universal)
Then close Jar, and drop in the Mos 4.1.0 and Spawner 1.7 you used for ssp into the mods folder (these are universal)
Right click minecraft_server.jar and select open with, then Java TM Platform
Enjoy the game
Dont forget once youve started the server for the first time, it makes the config folder, and that hold the config file to change the spawn rates for the server.
IMO you made getting a ghost horse WAY too hard...
The steps are basically:
Get a tier 4 horse (Part I am stuck on currently), use it to tame a zebra, make a Zorse, then use that to make a bathorse, then kill it for a 1/10 shot at getting a ghost horse?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
I read the entire "Horse" section 10 times and I can't find any simpler way to do this...
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
If it has been suggested a lot, then maybe, just maybe, it should be implemented because obviously a lot of people want it.
So, somewhere along the lines of attempting to update my Minecraft and Mo' Creatures, I did something stupid and got this:
Bad video card drivers!
-----------------------
Minecraft was unable to start because it failed to find an accelerated OpenGL mode.
This can usually be fixed by updating the video card drivers.
