So this mod is one id love to use but, its rather performance heavy, very in fact.
is there a way to have it on a server, and client, while making the visual completely optional for the client (for close to zero performance hit?)
ive been testing it on a server, and with it. my fps and others, drop far below playable even on rather beastly computers.
(with shaders this gets even worse of course. but thats our own prob, however, with shaders the textures of the clouds go all reversed. lit up so you can see all the edges of the wind textures.
if its something your interested in looking at, i can do more testing and provide some pics.

Your weaher mod is awesome, I like it, but there's too much clouds on the sky. They are everywhere. When I log in there are just some of them and looks cool, but after that spawn many and the whole sky is cloudy even if there're no storm.
I am running this on a server and client and it seems the clouds are alyas filling the sky and it storms and rains a lot. I tried this in a few different newly generated worlds. Is something wrong? I even tried to change I:Player_Storm_Rain_OddsTo1=150 to 250 and noticed no difference. Is they sky always supposed to be cloudy with the particles from weather 2 and is it supposed to rain and thunder so much?
Just popping in randomly to say that I've decided that I will put my mods on curse forge, probably to replace adfocus download portal, not sure when I'll be doing this, at some point in the coming weeks, also gotta catch up on the 9 new issues posted to my github about weather mod.

Is it possible to configure the mod to only have these 2 features, and leave eveything else as vanilla?

To make tornadoes less common in storms change Storm_ProgressionofBase (I think) to a lower number. By default the chance of a storm progressing is 10 to 1, just change the variable to 2 to 1 and it will be a lot harder for storms to progress to the next level (Only 1/8 Chance of a tornado per storm on average).

There is no natural light, when night time comes it's pitch black, no moon light and all that is heard is the scratching and moaning of whats around lurking to destroy you. Mining reveals unbeknownst horrors from the rocks just waiting to come out and devour your soul. Puddles of liquid blue or purple are not water, but also intent on harming you.

Also, regarding the "/weather rain" command will it come back?...sometimes, I must resort to change my game mode to 1 to save my villages from the fire. I like the weather mod, but..the rain is not... "wet" anymore [if you know what I mean...please don't kill me for my observations]

Hey Coros there is something you have to fix in your localized weather mod. The tornadoes don't leave many blocks on the ground because most of the blocks that are flying inside the tornadoes just despawn before they hit the ground! This is getting annoying! Please fix this! And another thing please make tornadoes destroy stuff in hilly biomes.

I think it's because the lightning should be able to make fires like a forest fire! In real life lightning can make fires. Corosus should add an option in the config file to make rain extinguish fire.
I have been playing with my friend on a multiplayer server with local weather and storms, and I haven't seen leaf particles,Torch,Rain, blow in the wind, or even see leaf particles for the matter. But only in multiplayer. So is it a feature, something i can change in the settings or what?

Hmmmm... that's weird. It has never happened with me. Maybe you should try to re-install the mod or something.
