Modloader is causing problems. I use mycraft, but ive run every mod alone even without mycraft and they all work except when i have modloader either on mycraft file, or in minecraft.jar directly.
Hey uh I can install the ModLoader and Shelf mod thing. I also have TooManyItems and SinglePlayerCommands installed. However when I spawn a floodgate and try to place it, it appears as a white block then immediately disappears no matter where I put it. Any ideas?
[EDIT] Actually I think Im supposed to spawn FLOODGATE CONTROL not FLOODGATE. Lol I fail.
ModLoader seems to be having troubles loading Risugami's mods (which I find kind of funny, actually). I'm having the same issues as previous posters. Since updating ModLoader for v1.5_01, I continuously get crash messages or black screens followed by Minecraft hard crashing.
I did some debugging, and found that there are a few mods which ML has no issue with. I'll list below what mods I have, and if they work I'll put a star* in front of them.

I also have zombe's ModPack and Zans Minimap, though I have yet to test those. I suspect they'll work properly, though zombe's ModPack does make an entry in the /mods folder, so idk how that will react with ModLoader.
UPDATE: Hooray! ModPack and Minimap work just fine. I haven't tested anything extensively, but no black screen/error messages/hard crash/chicken farting/etc.

Hey risugami, I got an idea for audiomod. do you think you can make setting of some description which allows you to choose something like "music delay" which changes how often songs come on? or to set the chance of a certain song coming on? because sometimes I like other songs to come on more than others and also the songs to actually come on more often in general, rather than in slots of about 8-10 minutes as it seems to be... thoughts?
hi i just downloaded modloader for single player commands and i followed the installation and everything but it crashes. Here is the report for the crash

And what archive program are you using?
Did you read the first post?
IZarc, it shouldn't make that big of a difference what I use to extract it with,
and yes, I did follow the instructions(read the first post).

It shouldn't but it does. I blame whatever is being used to compress them. In OS X several mods get corrupted when you extract them using the popular The Unarchiver tool.
Quite disappointing, and never seem to come across any issues elsewhere. I'm assuming it has something to do with compression algorithms that maybe proprietary to the tool being used to compress the files. Either that or some weird flags are being used that not all clients support. Or both.
"3) Outside of terminal, copy all the files and folders into the mctmp directory."
One question, WHAT FILES? PLEASE ANSWER QUICKLY!!
^ Same issue here. I'm going to assume it is not the mod files because there are no folders in there... I know this is kinda dim-witted but if you run the most popular modloader on the forums that a vast majority of mods REQUIRE in order to run, you have to expect this right?
The only thing I think would improve them is a homing dispenser. Made with homing bow instead of regular.

"4) Drag and drop the necessary files into the jar."
what are the 'necessary files'?
Everything in the download I assume correct?
All of the files need to be places in the minecraft.jar, correct?
Because, I've been doing this and yep, still doesn't work.
