I can't think of a word to accurately describe this map. It just deserves the best praises and much more attention in the community. I wholeheartedly love every detail in this map and I'm so looking forward to the full release.
You are making the greatest Minecraft map in the history. Seriously, you should call this an indie game instead - it has all elements. Graphics - from sprites to models and builds, code - represented by thousands and thousands of command blocks, music - custom sound effects and themes, plot - a polished and astonishing story, and all of those are done under vanilla Minecraft. I have never expected Minecraft could have such flexibility until now. You should really consider developing a non-Minecraft-based indie game on your own because you have all the required abilities to do it.
Aww, thank you so much! The team and I have a simple goal and that is to create an entirely new game - to really provide an experience that entirely eliminates the feeling of it being a Minecraft map. Still a long way to go, but I'm really happy with the feedback so far!
Yeah, it's a little disappointing that it hasn't really been seen by many people, but I'm hoping that improves soon! Won't change any of our plans though - I'm still gonna be working on this thing full-time! As for indie-games, I really don't have much experience in that field. I really don't know. =)
You said you were hiring some staff on the new video, So I wanted to apply, I'm a great builder and I'm good with commands. But I'm not the best at commands and sometimes use different sources and sites to figure out some commands half the time, but I have made some cool things on my other channel ShadowWarz Gaming, so if you want to see them to get some ideas of wether to hire me or not. I understand though that there will probably be many applications, and that I may not be to great for the job. Also merry early Christmas!
I'm O.K. at vanilla redstone (not the best at compacting it though). I have a moderate understanding of commands, and I'm already going through the stuff at the Redstone Spawn in the demo, trying to figure out how it all works. Just FYI, the underwater city is still in the demo (not sure if this is intentional). I'm not sure how qualified I am, but since I missed out on Beta testing (Thanks, Ultra), I wanted to help with this map in any way I can. Good luck with completing the map!
Phoenix, I am so proud of PokemonCA, I have Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and the mechanics work so alike, so I was gonna apply to help the team!
IGN : Zombaai
Skill : Redstone, Building.
Why I should join : Because i'm talented at building and redstone and i think i'd be perfect! I am in several buildteams and I have a lot of time in my hands. I have built GPU's and other contraptions.
I'd like to apply to be a command block person, for lack of better words. I'm a talented (or so I like to think) command block coder, but downright horrible at vanilla redstone. I can use scoreboard operation fluently, and can problem solve efficiently and in a way that takes none or very little away from the original version that had the problem. I'm a logical person. I started Minecraft coding with command blocks, because survival never was that interesting to me, and as time passed, I started creating maps that are right now waiting for me to build something decent for them. However, my flaws are that I tend to overcomplicate things, and I use scoreboards for literally everything, in case I need to toggle something later. Also, my computer isn't great.
Thanks,
Topaz
It's really hard to convey redstone talent via screenshots, but here is some of the redstone in my upcoming map, a destruction-oriented PvP map dubbed FireFight. This took me a few hours to make, but a lot of that time was spent testing and such.
Hello, Phoenix. Since there's not really any place to "apply" and everyone's doing it on here, so will I. xD
I'm applying as a command blocker/redstoner. I would consider myself a really good command blocker (and redstoner), although it's kind of hard to say that without seeming arrogant. But yeah. xD I've made many creations and machines. I build my commands very fast. Here's a quick list of three videos (each machine was made in less than 4 hours):
Graphing Calculator:
Connect 4 in one command
The game show Deal or no Deal
Also, pertaining to this map, I created a machine that'll let players change their name for adventure maps (I've now made a second version using tellraw and a fully functional keyboard.
I'd say the thing that got the most attention is when I created the first vanilla /tpa command. The system is still used by basically all Vanilla 1.8 servers with a tpa command today.
Here's a link to a playlist with all of them since when I put a link to a YouTube video it shows the thumbnail and takes up this entire freaking page. xD Also, skip to 8:50 on the graphing calculator video if you look at that one.

Sorry for all the links. I just like to have a track record, ya know? lol. Anyways, I have a lot of command block experience and besides knowing virtually all the commands and data tags (they keep adding data tags, yay and ugh, :P), I know how to apply them. I always strive to make my machines with the least amount of command blocks and least amount of lag (but less command blocks takes priority in my small mini-game maps. In an adventure map the most important thing would of course be to reduce lag to the minimal amount). I could put some other things here but I don't want to take up too much of your time. I hope I get accepted and, even if I don't, I still love the map and can't wait to see it finished!
I already asked about animating moves, but I'm good at command blocks too. I work very fast and learn quickly, and have lots of free time to do whatever it is you want me to do in. I also don't do things the way they are intended to, and often find new, eaiser ways to do things.
However, I tend to try to do things as simply as possible. Usually, this tends to work out great, but sometimes the only way to do something is complicated. I also get frustrated easily, and though I am good at commands, I am more used to 1.9 command blocks and don't know how to use /trigger and the really advanced features of scoreboard. I could definitely learn, though.
I also am fairly good at texturing, although I taught myself. If you just have one slot open, and it's texturing, I'd probably do fine. My specialty is looking at something in real life and making it pixilated, like the 16-bit graphics Minecraft has. I'm no master, though.
Hope you consider me. I just want another chance after the failed beta testing.
I Would like to be part of your team because I am Good At Command Blocks ,Redstone ,Block Modeling And More It Would Be A honor to join you my email [email protected] and My Youtube is https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCEoapueFKrTPWvRj4P1-9nQ I Hope I can Join You Please Choose Me And I'm Desperate for Joining You Please Grant my Christmas Wish To Join You Please Choose Me And I Understand If you don't Choose Me But I Know The Christmas Season Brings A Lot Of You know People Who Want To Join Also My Username is Jeffreyman101 and I Have Realms and I have Loads Of Spare time Thanks

I am not sure, but can people apply to be beta testers of the map, or not?

I am actually considering having an active and ongoing beta testing team, because the map is so huge with nearly endless possibilities (e.g., move combinations, party setups, choosing where to go). Will notify you guys if I go through with this.
So to answer your question, yes but not right now.

Ok, thanks for telling me. I asked because I was thinking about applying for beta testing.

Want to join the #PokeCA team? Before applying, please understand that the stress levels are high and are gonna get even higher as we near mid-2016.
We are mainly in need of some talented block modellers AND block model animators. If you are proficient at both of these, awesome!
We also have some space for talented redstoners. You need to also be able to understand how a redstone/command block contraption works simply by examining them. It's a tough but very handy skill since there are already so many contraptions at spawn!
