Hello guys! I have a little project I've been working on for the past 2 weeks or so. I don't know what it should be called, but anyways, here it is. I plan for it to be an interesting Adventure/Puzzle map with a Sci-Fi twist. Throughout the map you will encounter books discussing the rich history of the world you take part in, hidden in chests. Most of these chests are hidden behind breakable clay blocks. This is my first map that I have taken seriously. My other projects have either been deleted or scrapped, so don't expect the best from me!Here are some sceenshots. So that's pretty much it! Also, if you want to give feedback or review this map, please use this template. It is more organized and easier for me to read.

Oh, and one more thing. PLEASE use the Ice Planet Resource Pack. Oh, and I almost forgot. Just a heads up here, in order to get the right download on my Downloads page on my website, you need to scroll down to a file called new_map_v1.1.zip and download there. Here is the link to my site's download page.DO NOT USE THIS MAP FOR YOUR OWN PERSONAL GAIN. IF I FIND THIS REUPLOADED WITH THE POST CLAIMING YOU BUILT THIS, I WILL MURDER YOU IN YOUR SLEEP. (Just kidding...?)
UPDATE NOTES:
new_map_v1.1
*Fixed some grammar issues and edited the dialogue a bit
*Fixed a bug causing the player(s) not to teleport into the Space Pirate's ship in Chapter 4, Abandoned
*Replaced the Signs of Destiny with a path in Chapter 4, Abandoned
*Made the Leaf Decaying puzzle in Chapter 3, Follow the Beacons more straightforward.
+Added Chapter 5, Pirates. Space Pirates.
+Added the keepInventory rule so the player(s) will not lose important items when failing a dangerous task.
"Us not use"
All in all, these books need to be pre-read before put in the chest. If you want, I can do all the books in the game, but I am not going to play the entire map, maybe make a save will all the books in the game and I will proofread it.

Yea, that's one thing I forgot to do. I'll correct all my grammar/spelling mistakes and make sure to pre-read any books from now on before placing them in the chests.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
So apparently, someone already used my IGN (helloburp) on this forum. Fantastic. Now I'm showing everyone who I really am. Umad?
I'll test it out for 'ya and report back if there's anything weird I see.
UPDATE:
I played it and wrote my thoughts while doing so. Here they are:
First, consider finding a name for it.
When I began, I was put in the middle of nowhere with no tools and no idea what to do. Also, it was the middle of the night.
Try making a starting area that explains what it is I'm about to do.
When I found the cave (the beacons were actually very helpful, though the path was unnecessarily treacherous), The chest had a book and quill in it. Sign and Close it, you can name it and change the "author" NBT tag if you want and it's more intuitive.
Oops. I broke the leaves right off the bat. Sorry. The resource pack threw me off.
Just started and I'm about to starve.
The red carpet area (farthest left) is made of iron. This is a problem since I took the time to get ready before blindly jumping down. I now have iron EVERYTHING. But still no food.
It's really dark in here.
Turns out I need to dispose of all of my items and I'm not even in the first area. I'm in Chapter 4, somehow. There were even only three holes. I'm needing some more direction.
Apparently that's lava.
Yep, found the room.
You have monsters in your wire and it's very easy to get to.
Ooo, free diamonds. (sorry for breaking it, I'll continue on like I should.)
Still no food.
Find a way to get the dialogue to show up only once. Use a command block to [/setblock ? ? ? redstone_block] to stop any clocks you have going.
WAY too much treasure in the storage room.
Long narrow hallway. Still no food. Can't sprint.
Ooo, where I just was a few minutes ago, I could have just skipped that. (Not that I would, you just might want to fix that.)
I went back to see what the other holes where. They would have killed me. Seems unnecessary.
Good news: Cows. Beef. Food.
The path goes under trees where I can't walk. Not advised.
I can't walk vertically.
Hide your redstone a little more.
Woah, they've gone plaid!
I like that transition.
Apparently I'm a prisoner that can roam free in their base.
I did the little puzzle, though I didn't have any idea why it was there and there were no clues.
Again, what happened to Chapters 1, 2, and 3?
Why did he blow up, again?
Where is this place I woke up in?
Oh, it's over.
Seems interesting enough. You have a storyline in mind, but you need to develop it more into the map. Provide more instruction when an event appears.
Build a starting area to give rules and begin the story, instead of just throwing the player into it.
Overall, I'd give it about 3/10 stars, but not in a rude way, it just needs to be developed more. I'm following the post, so I'll test it again when you update it.
Mind returning the favor? Rift Up is also being developed and play-testers are welcome. Just beware: it's hard.

I did say "Need Testers" For a reason! You can't just play your map expecting everyone else to know exactly what's going on! That's a main problem with Indie developers. You know, like in games like cave story they throw a massive difficulty curve at the end and the developer was expecting you to handle it just fine. Thanks for testing! I will further develop the story and make the pilot of the space pirate ship GUIDE you through the spaceship instead of just letting you roam around it. I was sort of worried that people wouldn't understand the map very well as I could see with you. I will try to make this map the best I can. Thanks for the help!
And I will make sure to play Rift Up!
