when do you think we are going to get to download it again
please if you can respond
The creator isn't sure when the map is going to be finished, he doesn't want to put any ETAs on it, since he'll probably overshoot them. This is a HUGE project, done by just two guys in their spare time. It will be released once it's finished, and that's all we know. So, until then, we have to be patient.
Does anyone have a previous version of this mod? It seems pretty stupid to me by taking away the download file for the previous version, but it's not my mod. If anyone has a previous version however, can you please upload it to Google Drive or MediaFire please? I remember playing this mod before but now I can't even play. This mod is excellent by the way, it really touches the sense of Fallout!
I'm sorry to tell you, but even if someone had a copy of the file (Which in itself is unlikely) then it would be useless to you. The reason the map was taken down, is because it simply does not work with the new launchers. In order to play it, you would have to have a copy of Minecraft that came out before 1.6, without having any other version downloaded on your PC, and THEN you could get a copy of the map file, allowing you to play the original map. However, I know there is a fake copy with a virus going around, so even if you did find an old version of MC, I wouldn't recommend downloading any copies of the file.
Yes but the launcher allows you to access earlier versions of Minecraft, so that's why I was looking to find a MediaFire download, I did find a cached page of this forum with the downloads on it, but the link to the file with the texture pack and stuff is dead, and the only thing I have is the folder called WorldFile. But it's kind of useless without the texture pack. Do you happen to have the mod still on your computer, because since then in my case, I've moved on to a different computer.
You don't understand. I know that you can access old versions, if that was all that was necessary, it would be a piece of cake. The map needed you to replace the .jar file with a custom one. Doing that is no longer supported with the way the new launcher downloads and launches MC. It also used a custom sound file, which is incompatible with how MC is currently formatted. If you want, I believe I might have the texture pack somewhere on my computer, but you wouldn't have the custom sounds, and there would be some weird issues (e.g. items being called their vanilla names instead of what they actually are).
Won't be necessary anymore. I've just found my laptop with the old Minecraft and mod downloaded to it. I've put it on a USB and I'll try to play the game offline without it downloading the new update and see if it works.
