Just about a month after I announce my return, the site announces they're closing their doors. Good job, Curse.
I'm still planning on making maps again, but I'll probably host them somewhere else now. It'll probably be on either CurseForge or minecraft maps com. Since I won't be able to announce anything, make sure to go to my discord server. I'll be announcing any projects I make on it, and any other creators will be able to do so as well. (Also, sorry if it's against the rules to advertise my discord here.)
Before I finish off typing this, I wanted to give my full thank you to the entire crew who worked on this. I've been on minecraft for nearly 8 years now and I probably have been on this site for more than 5 now. It's been an honor being with you all and I'm sad you'd have to make it read only. It's been a good half-decade being with you all. I'll see you all on another site.
Thanks for reminding me about the Curse Maps section. I totally forgot that it was possible to host maps in the actual Curse website, and spent a few weeks wondering about where I'd put my "reboot" maps when I finally get to publish them...
It's pretty sad that all the maps posted here don't ever get to have their good to bad ratio increased once June-half-1 is over. Modern Minecraft's mapping potential has been huge for quite some time and I was hoping that this forum would be part of spreading a renaissance of hundreds of newer and better maps than what we used to have. If we had three more years, I would have been almost certain that the face of CTMs, plugins, and survival maps would get, well... a lift.
I wonder if Curse.com will shut down because of running profits at a loss a few years after now.
(Oh yeah, and, good thing I gave up on updating and fixing my original maps a while ago. This website freeze would be putting me under so much stress right now.)
So I was working on this really cool resource pack a while ago, but bad progress nonwithstanding, I think I found something much better... I'm probably gonna never release another custom Minecraft map.Until we meet again...
Yeah, it seems like the archive announcement brought back a lot of people, and now that it's not being archived anymore... I haven't seen it this active in years.
Oh wow, I didn't see that announcement until now, thank god. I was gonna move everything to a some random third party forum that only had 5 people on it.

Well, guess what, folks! They canceled the archival!
