I would love to take part in this but I'm in Australia so I'm not sure what the time difference is. Still, this is an awesome idea and I would love to participate.

We usually just use our own timezone when doing the jam.

Could you please specify the rules on testing pieces of redstone gimmicks as to whether we can do it outside of the three days or not (provided that we rebuild it by hand for the map)? Also, I might have to do this from Thursday to Saturday because the crazy lady who runs my Confirmation class thought that the day before school continues would be a good day to have a special 4-hour long class. (Maybe she thought she would try and ease us back into the boredom of school with a series of half-hour long mind-blowingly dull talks.)

I'm not an organizer or anything but I'd assume that the testing of things is fine as long as you don't copy and paste it into the map. Rules state that you can have your base toolkit, just not anything that's built specifically for the jam, on schematic. Fang had also said elsewhere in the thread that the entire point of announcing the theme well ahead of time was so that people could test things and make sure their ideas were possible before the Jam actually started and you built an entire area for a mechanism that wasn't actually possible.

Feel free to test it out, as long as it's not directly ported into the map!
1-We have 72 hours to make the map, and when we finish we post it, but we post the map in the period of 72 hours?
2-How you know that I (for example) have not made constructions months ago?
Thank you for answering all my questions, because it is the first "strawberry jam" in which I participate.
1 - Yeah, you'll need to post it within around 80 hours after it all starts.
2 - Mostly a trust system, but we'd hope you post progress images as you go!
.
What do you think about this name?
Well, you can release it afterwards, but generally it's not listed in the Jam entries.
You will be publicly executed >:D
This is clearly the correct answer. The person with the best map determines the manner of death.
Oh well I guess I had better start brushing up on my favorite ways to kill people /boast
Do we typically pick a "best map"? I thought we had categories.
Also, the poll is a "pick one", not a "pick multiple"... is that a thing you can change?

It's been announced, and is in the main post! It's "Countdown"
