If you have worldedit do this
/brush s 89,98,98:1,22,24:2,13,49,112 6
circular brush made of an equal amount of:
glowstone, stonebrick, mossy stone brick, lapis blocks, smooth sandstone, gravel, obsidian, nether brick and it has a radius of six
(this probably looks terrible)
You can also make percentages EX: /brush s 33%98,33%98:1,33%98:2,1%98:3
makes 33% stone brick, 33% mossy brick, 33% cracked brick, and 1% chiseled brick.
(I use this often for castle areas)
ok, since this is the real thing i was looking for (don't get me wrong, LOVE the feedback i've gotten) im going to ask a new question
Community Question: What is a specific map that you feel executes gameplay in a stellar way?
im going to mark Spellbound Caves, ED3, and Kaizo off the list now since i have/will play those maps in my research.
moon II had a great story and great overall gameplay
LODII was also really good (trading, custom mobs)
VFII had great adventuring feel with the first 3 areas.
Comments: Taking place on the post-apocalyptic remains of a once-populated island, From Ashes by Gustavo Entertainment of how Open-World CTM maps should be done. It was inspired by the Fallout and Stalker games, and this fact clearly shows in the design. There is so much to explore in this map, from underground caves to ruined cityscapes, all culminating in one of the longest and toughest dungeons I've ever played through. The loot is another strong point, as there are lots of named items, some humorous and some with an intricate backstory. If you don't take the dungeons in order, or don't look at the map with dungeon markers (provided with the download), you may have some issues with the difficulty curve, but playing the dungeons in order completely fixes this. Once again, this map is a must-play; I suggest it for those with a fair amount of CTM experience, but you don't have to be a veteran to survive.

Monstrosity by far! So many unique gameplay aspects it will blow your mind. Once Dylan and I finish it I will be giving it a 10/10 on gameplay in my review...
Having some problems with WE (5.5.5). When holding a stick, typing "/brush sphere stone 6" or "/brush sphere 1 6" it says "sphere brush shape equipped", but when left/right clicking nothing happens. //brush gives an error....

I get the brush doing nothing part of that as well. Try:
Restarting Minecraft
Reinstalling SPC
Restarting Your Computer
Waiting

I'll probably just watch your full LP
(seriously though, its a long map and i dont have the spare time to play it right now with all the other gameplay-heavy maps im playing. ;3; )
Love the trees, but there's a huge lack of block variation, and some really poor-looking square rooms. You should take some time to deal with those!
That one area is supposed to be squared. But block variation, what do you mean exactly?

How did he/she/you make that?

Great tutorial. I'll try get worldedit in snapshot
Safe Haven by Domara (is that how you spell his/her name).
Xekaj advent maps (his/her game play is truly excellent (if a bit over the top hardcore))
There are others but I'm too lazy to think of them right now
Hey! I like, run this... or something:
Woah, that good? Maybe I have to check it out...

Its not too long, and easily rush-able (except for i2)
VF2, and ED3 are also big ones for me!
