I think that the grass is really well done. It has a nice color and it really enhances the background. That being said, the grass could use some improvement, maybe perhaps erode the grass so it isn't so... blocky...
Oh... and the caste seems nice too.
Happy Holidays All.

I really liked your maps. Inspired Gallery especially. Masterpiece.

I don't care about the Xs. You can call me Navarog. Or Nava if you really want to be a hipster. It's fine.
Thanks! I appreciate it. Although, from what I've seen, CTM's have become more... intricate from when I left about 2 years ago. The aesthetics are incredible from the screenshots I've seen; I really cannot speak to the game-play, though.

The style has certainly changed, but I think it's fair to say that your maps were ridiculously good for their time. They actually are what really got me into CTM, and Forgotten Crevice was the first CTM map that really impressed me.
Which leads me to a Community Question:
What was the thing that first got you interested in CTM maps?

What was the thing that first got you interested in CTM maps?
That would be the first CTM map I ever played - Sea of Flames II.
Since my brother and I were terrible at CTM maps (at first), it was absolutely thrilling to make it through another dungeon and reach another wool block, slowly making progress on the Monument. It was the only time that I ever really felt challenged in Minecraft, and I loved it.
While Vechs' maps were the starting point for my interests in CTM maps, it really peaked when I played Amlup's Uncharted III - beautiful looking areas (for its time), challenging (yet fair) dungeons, etc. From then on, my interest continued to grow as I saw more of what the community was capable of - heliceo's Ragecraft II, three_two's Vinyl Fantasy, etc. Eventually, I decided to try making my own maps, and after a long while of building and experimenting to find my style in building and creation (a process that took over a year before I was willing to put out my first map), here I am now.

I watched a playthrough of Spellbound Caves and thought they looked fun. I played a few CTMs and then decided I wanted to make a few, starting with the best name for a series "TREGA-MOSTILE" (I wonder where I got that from). Eventually, trying to make my maps look better, I found Karrot's World Edit tutorial where he showed how to make good looking lush areas. I started mapping, made two maps, released them, they sucked, I threw them into the abyss, I made Into the Storm and a few other maps, and then here we are.

What was the thing that first got you interested in CTM maps?
I got incredibly bored of survival Minecraft, and turned to custom maps. I then discovered CTM and finally found something actually challenging, and dove in from there. This was back when only really Vechs, MistaGrinch, Halfstack, and TimetoSlide were making CTMs.
Hibernates, wakes up and realizes the OP is different. You really had to brush off all that dust while I wasn't looking.
Could someone explain to me how the #2 Map List post works? I've almost finished playing a map but I haven't dropped by in weeks. It looks like the old review post because it has the review form. So we send maps in to be placed in the list? I read through the pages of posts I missed during the time I was away and couldn't find much.
What maps should be included in the map list. Should I include only maps that mapmakers have sent to the CTMcommunity account to be featured, or should I include only maps that were reviewed here, or should I include ALL THE MAPS!!! or some kind of combination?
What do you think? There is this problem that I want to always have a description of a map available but many mapmakers are inactive for a looong time. If you want all playable maps to be included all of you will have to contribute.
Because often I have very little information about the maps and I can't categorize them properly. I'm looking for:
• Suitable minecraft version for the maps in Unknown Version section
• Descriptions of maps with missing description. Description has to be accurate and 40 words long at maximum, for a great example of a good description look at the Rugged Horizons or Sandswarm maps.
• Corrections on numbers of objectives for some maps. Many maps might have incorrect numbers of Ore blocks or bonus objectives...
• Reviews, reviews, reviews. Yes I'm looking at you map players that sometimes somehow appear in this thread and have experience. Reviews can help a lot. Good reviews can help a ton to both the mapmaker and the players.
I think reviews of completed maps should be included and a list of maps from different versions should also be listed somewhere however I don't think that descriptions are necessary and will take up too much room. If a map has a thread, why bother writing a separate description? I also think that a list of upcoming maps should be around to show what people are working on so people can follow the projects of mapmakers they like. This list should be updated as maps are released or scrapped.
You need to choose what to play somehow. For example If I want to play a shorter map I don't want to have to go trough 20 map threads just to find that out.
Let's say I want a shorter map with survival aspects, I will read that in the description on this page and find 3 maps that fit this. Then I will visit their threads to read more about them. That is the idea behind the description.
Also this: What maps should be included in the map list. Should I include only maps that mapmakers have sent to the CTMcommunity account to be featured, or should I include only maps that were reviewed here, or should I include ALL THE MAPS!!![/i] or some kind of combination?
Maps that have been reviewed on this thread should be included.
Also, the old review post had a "*NEED REVIEWS*" section. Maps
- that have not been reviewed on the thread that have been requested to be reviewed should be put here.
- New CTM map releases could also be put here as well.
This is just an idea taken from the old post. With more thought, things like a map limit and a request form(?) could be applied to it.
Is the community able to help by sending the maps in, in the proper format?

Include as many maps as possible, although maybe trim some older stuff if it gets too ridiculous.
I do think it's a good idea to keep the "need reviews" section.
As for descriptions-- no. That would just make it textwall-y and seem impenetrable to newcomers.
And a list of upcoming maps should be included, as Cool said.
Despite the short-ness, not sent from my iPhone. because I don't have one. myah.
I'm thinking we should include as many completed maps as possible so that people can easily find new maps to play. If we need to make space, we can get rid of some older maps or ones that can't be downloaded anymore.
As for maps that are W.I.P or in alphas/betas, there should be a section just for those maps so if people want to get some feedback on what they've built, they can.
In addition to the idea of putting descriptions by the maps, I think we should have something like tags to indicate certain information about the maps - simple things, such as Complete or Mini-CTM, the number of Monument Blocks, the layout of the map, etc. Just a small space to easily indicate basic facts about the map.
For example: (using my map)
The Artisan
(Description)
-Tags: Mini-CTM, 4 Monument Blocks, Central Hub
I really like blade's idea. I feel that the "description" for each map should be the monument blocks and map type, and under that could be links to reviews.

They actually provided a challenge compared to vanilla Minecraft.
When I saw youtubers like Zisteau playing kaizo and bluexephos playing canopy carnage.
When I saw Vinyl Fantasy. It was first CTM map I have ever played and it is incredible.

Hi, I have a question:

No problem. There would be more but I'm terrible at CTMs due to my defensive mindset.
For the map list:
