Basically, we need to finish up the last intersection. There was also some talk about the Green Wool, and when I checked out the map the other day, it looked like UnknownBnm had carved out a bunch of space for a new area. He left some signs around with the general plan, but you might want to ask him for specifics.
I have sort of a random question that I would love to get answered. Where can I get the 1.8 download for Worldedit, or is it not out yet? (I am currently just using MCEdit, and I really want some way to get Worldedit into my 1.8 map so I can do stuff like block variation)
I'm interested in assisting in the making of Discordancy or Discordancy 2. How would I go about applying/requesting to join the project.
Shoot Taschneide a poke and I'm sure he can help get you on the server/set up. Discordancy in it's current form is quite close to completion, so I'm not sure if you'll get a ton of stuff to do though.

Hello friends ! I'm very new to the forums , but I have been playing Minecraft since the 1.3 days and have been playing CTM Maps since Waking Up. I'm currently working on a sky themed open World Map. I've already gotten spawn set up , (Windswept Coast) and The white wool Dungeon , (Silveroot Ruins) structurally complete. I already have a couple area designs in mind , like a giant tree area , (Think like Canopy Carnage , or Yggdrisssl from Pantheon.) And a big sky armoury. I'm still new to the forums and I'll post some pictures soon , but do you guys have any ideas for areas that you would like to see ? Thanks !

To my knowledge it hasn't been released yet. A bit of patience

If you make some screenshots of your "work" or when you have question, post it here. You'll see that this thread is quite active and a subject sometimes takes over everything for several days ! It can get messy...

Open world sky maps are hard kudos to you for trying it out! You have to be careful with your areas to not seem too generic so I would take a look at other sky maps and see what has been done already, (Look at Rugged Horizons perhaps) Some Ideas that could be implemented are: Maybe a volcano-type area or perhaps a sky basin type thing with a water area inside it? Anyways good luck you you on your endeavours

However, saying that, since it's an honorary PCTM map it has a PCTM timeframe. Meaning it will be out in 2042! Get hype'd people!

If you upload it to Imgur, we'll be able to see it a lot better!

The 1.8 version of World Edit isn't out yet, but you can use Sethbling's Random Blocks filter in MCEdit. (If you want to do block variation)
I've gone ahead and made improvements to his filter as well to make it more user friendly by allowing the same block selection functionality that the main tools use for both the block to place as well as the block you want to replace. I also modified the "x blocks per 16" to just be a percentage value, which is realistically what Seth converted the values over to anyways.
Or he can use the "Varied Replace" brush with MCEdit Unified ;-)
It works like a charm!
I don't know about this replace option, but this is due to the fact that I have some older version of MCEdit and I'm too lazy to update it. If there will be the new version for 1.8 / 1.9 I'll download the newest version.
A huge thank you to everyone who answered my question! I didn't even know where to look if there was a filter for block variation, so thanks to coolmanik for showing me where to find it.
as far as I know it's still happening, there's just been a lot of real-world stuff for us all so we've never gotten around to finishing it up.
This is a link to the progress spreadsheet on the map:

Huh, was there a new map released in the past month?

Didn't even know there was some map collab going on.
Also I love to complain so I can't believe that this bug has been here from Minecraft 1.4.2 and is still not fixed:
https://bugs.mojang.com/browse/MC-2912
Drives me crazy sometimes.

Any time there is a new colaboration map happening I would be happy to help.

Ok, thanks a million
There were a bunch of maps (shorter & longer) released for the last Strawberry Jam
(I'm not sure the links for maps are updated).
To my knowledge it hasn't been released yet. A bit of patience
