What about make a CTM map as Human Body. For example monsters are disease in organs. Central nervous system is disturbed. Brain is Monument and you have to find wools (or something similar) to connect brain with the organs.
It's a little bit weird idea, but I hope original.
I'll roll that around in my head, see if I want to go with it. Interesting idea!

I think Hybran's got you covered with his Mini-CTM Masterpieces, Anus and Anus: A New Beginning! /s
On another note, in about a half hour we'll be working on finishing two more areas on the Community CTM Map! If you're interested please hop on and help out
IP:172.245.31.197 - just hop on and ask for an OP if you're not yet!

Lol k, Hybran's got that covered. Hopefully I'll have time to hop on and help out!
Is there a reason slowness doesn't work with ghasts?
Probably because a ghast's movement speed doesn't draw from the same ∂x,∂z method that most (walking) mobs use. Therefore it probably wouldn't go through a speed/slowness potion effect check.
Hey, I was thinking of some ways to practice my mapping and level design with minimal effort, and I thought of making a series that's just like training for CTMs. Each map is a 1 wool dungeon and they help teach new CTMers tactics to use in maps. Each map would have a different strategy to use, for example, effective potion uses, or how to best use the knockback enchantment. Just so you know, this is going to be different than the Super Hostile training in that it will be an actual (albeit short) dungeon to play through. It will just focus on 1 thing.
What do you guys think of this idea? Has it been done already? Do you have any suggestions on tactics?
Also maybe once I make a bunch I can combine them into a full 16 wool map
It's basically a room filled with Punch X bow skeles with full diamond armor with thorns V unbreaking 100 (basically you can't hit them without getting knockback and if they hit you, you die) with a void at the bottom, and your only defense is a shield every 15 blocks, prob a Green/Black wool type of area, Yes i am insane, and no, you can't have my punch X bow skele schematic.
So yeah

it's bedrock, i am not sorry, i'm just a evil *******
i made a other way to do it too
called "Less skills"
its like the difference in Final battle and Minor Conflict in SH12
slightly less evil, Punch V bows and no thorns on the skeles
Sorry, but how exactly are you expecting people to play your map if you just make it as hard as possible, instead of aiming for a nice, fun and balanced experience?

Well obviously i'm not that evil, it's sort of a joke area, the actual wool area will be a different thing all together, at the end there will be a sign saying "Hai there, the wool isn't here, so here have this" there will be awesome loot and a TP button to the intersection.
"Rom-Hack Hard" isn't just being evil, it's also making unnecessary areas for fun
And that isn't even the hardest thing i have ever made, i made a mini-ctm that only 1 person finished, because of how insanely hard it was
It was pure evil, you got a set of prot X dia armor, but it was a void area with Punch 20 skele's, Invisible ghasts that could break obsidian, and tnt spawners that threw tnt in your face if you bridged, and my favorite part, Witches that had iron armor that had speed 10.
i sitll talk to the guy that beat it, and he got lucky somehow

Could you maybe add a MaxSpawns option? Like this:
NEW TYPE - Item Type iron_chestplate
Freq:0.05 MaxSpawns:2
minecraft:iron_chestplate,1,0,{}
In a chest you can find 0, 1 or 2 iron chestplates. I find it annoying that it can add like 4 iron chestplates. I want it to be 5 percent but I don't want too many of some items types.
Oooo that's actually a pretty good idea. I don't think it'd be that tough to implement, either, and it could definitely help. I'll work on it.

As a maker of a Rom-Hack map... I don't entirely agree. Rom-Hacks are about making areas that are challenging and force a player to manage and use their resources super effectively, while still being possible. It's about creating a challenge for your players based on their skill level, not just making something absurdly impossible and trolling your players. That's not Rom-Hack, that's just trolling.

Well there are multiple levels of Rom-hack hard that i use
Rom-hack hard (harder than hard)
Rom-hack+ (insane)
Rom-hack++ (hahaha good luck)
That one that i was talking about was RH++, i said it was impossible, he beat me at my own game
And i make 2 versions of every area i make, the one i wanted you to play (insanely hard) and a easy version if you actually want a chance, i actually recommend playing the easy one if you want the wool, the actual area i leave in as sort of a beta-(how it was before it became possible)
i also specify this before the DL link
"This is a troll-eske map, it's meant to be impossible, and if you try you put yourself into the mess, don't complain it's too hard, it's suppose to be that way"
balancing hard maps is fun and easier, making easy maps is hard for me for some reason, i don't know why, i could make a easy map, but it would take me insanely long to balance it

Idk, trolling can still be fun I was thinking of some things I would put in a map for the next Strawberry Jam (if it was april fools) and a lot of stuff would certainly be possible, it would just be annoying to the player, but funny to watch. An example I had was adding in a dungeon that contained a color of wool that the monument didn't require. Obviously, this kind of stuff would be a 1 time thing in a map themed around trolling, so the effect is like that of the stick chest in Legendary, a sort of "Ah, you got me! That was a good one" rather than the stickS in Inferno mines, more of a "Not this AGAIN!!"

I think that the wool prank would be pretty funny, however a map should not be "just be annoying to the player, but funny to watch". Just keep a limit on the troll meter, there's a difference between Rom-Hack and just plain annoying.
i have a regents week coming up soon and i have no regents to take, no school for a week
1 week is enough to make 2 intersections, if i nol-ife it
I'll roll that around in my head, see if I want to go with it. Interesting idea!
