And on a more productive note, here's "The North Pole Patented Christmas Box Factory" area from I Saw a Zombie Eating Santa Claus! Coming Christmas Day!
Wow so many amazing reviews. Thanks to all, now most new maps at least have 1-2 ratings, and we can finally add them to the list of maps. Thanks so much for taking the time to let us know how good/bad the maps were <3
Well then, things here seem to be coming along very nicely! That Christmas Map looks lovely, and all the reviews are great! I look forward to the coming year, guys!
Also a very merry Christmas, Hanuka, and all other holidays celebrated right about now! If you don't celebrate anything this time of year, then just have a very awesome day!

The map is certainly going well. Were getting loot and mobs in right now. We only have one more area to do, so yeah it should be released tomorrow. So at least you will get one guarantied good present tomorrow.
I just downloaded SPC, Build commands and TMI for a Christmas present for my younger cousin. Its been three hours know since I finished downloading, man I miss this stuff :). Ill post a screeny of an area once im done for the night :0!
Comments: Terra Restore is a really unique CTM maps that uses a lot of command block and some custom sound which create a fun and unique gameplay that you wouldn't experience in other CTM maps that I know of. The aesthetics on this map is decent. It's not that wonderful, but it's not bad either. This map have a lot of interesting mechanics in it, such as custom crafting, upgradeable base, and a lot more. There's also a little bit of story and custom music that plays whenever the player enters a new area or when fighting a boss. The bosses in here are given a custom ability and it's own arena, and heavily uses command block. There's also a pre-made custom base, a lot of supplies and some teleporters which is great for people who hates building and farming in CTM maps. The start of the map is pretty easy, but the end of the map is really stressful even when the player is given a ridiculously overpowered loot. The bosses are really hard and it took me several attempt to complete it. The player pretty much need to be really well equipped to do it. Overall, this is a really well made map. I can tell that a lot of time and effort are put into this map. The command blocks really make this map interesting, fun and different from other CTM maps. One of the best CTM maps I've ever played.

SPC, Build commands, and TMI for christmas present?
Yay for no money spent on a christmas present!
Thank you very much TyphlosionGOD for your review on Terra Restore, I was waiting for somebody to finish it and share thoughts. I had the feeling that it is a map a lot of people would rate with 10 in Overall Enjoyment. Are there any other members of the community currently playing this?
In other news, we have had 23 reviews in the last five pages, that's a 25% of the total. I have decided not to update the second post till we decide on the new format. I'm working on it, will share some examples here in a couple weeks so all of you can give feedback.
For now, I'm sharing this:
It's the formulae I'm proposing to adopt in order to get less possitive bias, disregard extreme ratings and get a community averaged score. If you want to hear how it works, it's fine with me, but it should be done in another moment, I'm running out of time now. In the meanwhile, if anybody wants to upload some reviews of Ragecraft II, that would be cool, as I would be using it as an example. Specially interested in those harsher reviews like Tasch's (maybe Fangride?) Thanks in advance!
I don't really like the fact that this formula, with the 1 / 11-E makes good ratings count less strong. That seems awkward to me. You might be overcomplicating quite some stuff, why not just take all ratings, cut out the highest/lowest (or most extreme/different) one, and then average out?
There's one thing though, that I think isn't really good. The average reader of this forum probably doesn't have the mathematical skills to get a little bit of understanding about how your formula would impact the ratings. I can make some sense out of it, but I'm pretty sure it will be over 6 months of university before you can even read that thing completely, I don't know what all the ~s exactly mean. This community should be open, and therefore the map ratings should be understandable, not a formula that's, well, that.
BTW, if you post a formula, would be kinda helpful if you'd at least explain what E and S are I'm assuming S is an individual rating and E is some sort of rating bias constant?
Wait what are you exactly doing? You're saying that, flooring (int means floor, right) a collection of complicated stuff makes it equal to the collection of all real numbers. As far as I understand it, that would mean that |R would contain only non-decimal numbers, which is false.
Gonna be sorta blunt: There's nothing wrong with just averaging scores.
Currently, we average scores, and show how many reviews each map has. If a map has a low score, but only one review, you can know it's just one player's opinion. If a map has a low score, and five reviews, then you can feel a bit more secure in the map not being as good. The same applies to good maps. We don't need a complex formulae to tell people about the maps, especially when they can merely read the reviews themselves too.
R: Rating (your comment on this was funny rubisk, you looked too much into it)
Em. Dude. That has nothing to do with me looking into it, it's basic math knowledge. an R that looks like that means a collection of all real numbers, not some variable. In that case, a normal R or just Rating should be used. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Set_(mathematics)#Special_sets
If you're willing to post a giant formula on the forums that uses summations and everything, then be sure to at least use normal looking characters.

First off, the fancy R is indeed used almost solely for the set of all reals; a regular R will do just fine. It's like using epsilon for a large number - you could do it, but it's super weird. Second, I'm assuming that you meant min(1, E/10), since E > 1.
Anyway, I looked up the reviews for Inferno Mines* and plugged them in, which gave a very reasonable 20.98. While I doubt that corrected averages will be strictly necessary as long as we disregard joke reviews, the formula seems great to me, the only issue I see is maintaining it, since the corrective factor at the start does indeed make it a bit trickier to run.
