They must be screwing around with villager mechanics in the snapshots, maybe they intend villagers to gain trades after any trade is done. The only way I can think to prevent new trades is to cap the number of trades possible on the villager and make them useless/impossible except for the one you want them to have.
I searched a little bit about that, and apparently you have to use the Career and CareerLevel attributes so the villager doesn't create new trades. I'll try that tonight, see if it works. (10am now in France and I'm at work xD)
Ye s indeedd. Give them an unexisting career and the gamr won't generate new trades... Although they can still breed and make standard villagers, so you'd need honor rules for that. Or just don't bother, getting diamond armour from villagers takes a horrendous amount of time with the new breeding system ;-)
Health bar foor boss mobs, I don't think it really works well as for right now. Might try make something for you though
Anyone else having trouble with MCEdit crashing all the time? happens when I'm copy/pasting/brushing/filling certain areas apparently. Also pretty much every time I save progress in those areas. Seems to get fixed when I copy/paste like, the whole world to another world, but then starts crashing again soon after. Driving me crazy... so yea anyone else having these problems in the snapshot or know what's going on with the useless info I've given? It crashes the same way in both the dev and full release versions of MCEdit.

Try saving and reloading the world. Turn down your view range. MCedit is probably running out of memory.
@Taschneide, I got a system. I didn't know this, but the Float tag is apparently not strict, if that makes sense. So you can make a boss with 20 HP, and give him max protection + diamond armour. Then setup 20 command blocks, for 1 HP, 2HP, 3HP, 4HP etc:
Then hook up comparators behind the command blocks, and setup another row of command blocks like this:
/summon WitherBoss x y z {HealF:15f,Attributes:[{Name:generic.maxHealth,Base:20}]}
You might need 2 withers so the player always look at one. As long as they are loaded, it shouldn't matter how far away they are.
And that's it. It's very expandable, but I'd suggest raising the armour instead of the HP, since you need 1 command block per HP, you can't have 1 for 10-20 HP, you can have 1 for 1.00-2.00 Hp. If that makes sense.
Guys, hi, I need your help so much. I've never got to release my map, so I've some problems with it. I cleaned all unnecessary files from the folder, but the world is still creative with cheats turned on, I think, it's not OK, right? Have I to copy the whole map and then paste it to another world with survival mode or is there another way to solve this problem as well as completely delete all the player data? I've no idea and hope you guys will give me advice on this topic..

Hai, So i had problems lately, hard disc in my laptop broke so i lost everything i had but there is still high chance to recover that so im not mad about it. Thats pretty much everything ill say atm because writing on mobile in English with polish autocorrect is worst possible thing.
This will give you a placeable item that you can hold and just place down as if it was a block. McEdit works easier though. Note that the command only works in 14w07a or later ;-)
Well I suppose i can build the map in 1.6.2 then at the end put in spawners in the snapshot, Inhaze build commands has a spawner command but only works in multiplayer
I've been messing around a bit with a CTM map of my own and I've been having trouble adding custom monster spawners to my map. I do not have MCEdit so I've been trying to get the spawners in using the setblock command combined with command blocks (since the code for custom mobs are usually too long for just the normal /setblock command), but I've been having trouble figuring out what coding does what. As such, I was hoping I could maybe get some help through the CTM community.
I'd prefer a simple string of code for what I'm looking for, that I can just copy/paste into the command block, but getting linked to a user-friendly tutorial would be wonderful as well. Here's what I'm looking for:
Spawner for a zombie with half health and extra attack damage, with the custom name Fallen Monk.
Spawner for a baby zombie with 1 health, extra movement speed and increased spawning speed, with the custom name Fallen Apprentice.
Spawner for aggressive dogs that are on fire (they're supposed to burn to death if left alone), with the custom name Fallen Enkou.
Spawner that spawns a single zombie with double health, extra movement speed and extra attack damage, with the custom name Fallen Master.
Thanks for any help or feedback.

Use In-Game NBTEditor. Give yourself a pig spawner, place it where you want it, and then edit the code.
Also, I had an idea for people who are actually going to finish their map.
Make an area made with XP Spawners (pry a late-game area), and then replace some of those with spawners, people will have a hard time telling the difference. ;D

Hey there, all. I stream CTMs as well as other indie games, Minecraft servers and probably that's it. I'm your supreme overlord too so I command you to CHECK ME OUT: www.twitch.tv/techniclepanther
What's an NBTEditor..? I've only ever used the vanilla game (and played just a little bit of FTB) so I'm not familliar at all with mods and addons and whatnots ^_^;

Hi and welcome. I seem to be pretty much the code-stuff guy in here, so I guess I'll help you out a bit...
Just a little bit info first. NBT-data is data that the game uses to store info from your game. That can be as simple as the position of the player, and as complicated as the custom name mobs will have when they spawn from a certain spawner.
These contain pretty much all NBT tags in the game. Try to get a general overview of the way they are arranged, and just try to understand what is going on. Understanding what NBT tags are is pretty important. You don't need to learn all the tags, but just try to get insight into how they work.
Ok. NBT-editor stuff is setup, and you should have a general insight into NBT. Now try starting off by making some simple stufff, by using the 3 pages I linked first.
A few challenges, so you know what to do would be great I guess...
- Try summon a creeper
- Try summon a villager zombie
- Try summon a skeleton riding a cavespider
- Try summon a skeleton wearing a leather cap
- Try summon a stack of cobblestone
- Try summon an enchanted sword
- Try summon a skeleton wearing an enchanted leather cap
- Try summon a skeleton wearing an enchanted sword that will always drop.
- Try summon a villager with a custom trade.
- Try setblock a zombie spawner
- Try setblock a zombie riding spider spawner
- Try setblock a spawner, summon full armoured skeletons, with a custom name, riding full armoured zombies, all with 100% drop chance.
- Try summon an aggressive dog. (Note what happens)
- Try summon different types of horses.
If you're stuck, try ask for help somewhere. The challenges should have increasing difficulty, except for the last 2, those are just a little surprise.
Have fun figuring stuff out, and if you prefer me to just paste the codes you need, let me know and I'll be glad to help you out that way too. Although this is way more effective, and saves me some trouble ^^
===========================
After typing all this, I might make a video series explaining NBT stuff if there's people wanting that. Let me know.
Or, you know, just click "edit". Very difficult, I guess... T_T
It helped me because I would often just think of another thing I wanted to say, which I thought belonged in another post, instead of an add-on to the first post.
It also helped stop those who double post anyway.
Editing works, but not everyone does it, and so that solution didn't always work. The post merger pretty much always did.

Thank you so much, I'm going to try it out right now.
peace.

Well I use MCEDIT for custom mobs but sometime for normal mobs I use a setblock command.
Yeeeeaaah, I feel like they should try and add that back in...
It was a simple and easy solution to double posting. A nice feuture of this forum.

Just a little bit info first. NBT-data is data that the game uses to store info from your game. That can be as simple as the position of the player, and as complicated as the custom name mobs will have when they spawn from a certain spawner.
There's a ton of NBT-tags in the game, and first of all I'd suggest checking out these three pages:
http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Chunk_format
http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Level_format
http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Player.dat_format
These contain pretty much all NBT tags in the game. Try to get a general overview of the way they are arranged, and just try to understand what is going on. Understanding what NBT tags are is pretty important. You don't need to learn all the tags, but just try to get insight into how they work.
Done with that? Great. Try checking out this thread next:
http://www.minecraftforum.net/forums/mapping-and-modding/mapping-and-modding-tutorials/1571585-1-7-using-summon-give-datatags-in-map-making
It contains an amazing amount of tutorials for players new to NBT tags. Try pick some you like, and the basic ones for sure.
Next up you need to make sure you got a way to NBT-edit stuff. In 1.8, you can use /setblock and /summon, but for editing existing tags I highly recommend Texelelfs McEdit filter:
http://elemanser.com/filters.html (click NBT-editor)
You do need McEdit for this.
If you want something more user-friendly, check out this:
