@length of maps
I like them to be beatable within about 20 hours solid work, I should feel like I'm progressing and not getting stuck, honestly I can go for a long time if I feel like I'm making progress. I should say at minimum 1 hour per monument block.
(also I'm here, I've just been working really hard on getting my mapping gear back together and finishing these areas for awesome.)
The first one has a cool look to it, but make sure its not too hard to move around, there's a lot of steep hills and that can sometimes get frustrating to navigate and I would like to see the second one in a lower FOV
Also the first pictures ceiling could use some work

First one, you get Jump Boost 10...(mini-map) And the ceiling isn't done.
2nd pic is a naturally generated MC world I was derping around with Jump Boost and speed. Not a map.
People are saying how they cheat to complete maps... I think maps should be made so you don't have to cheat. Even if you die and lose all of your stuff, then you should still have a chance. Because if I die and lose all of my best stuff, that is an automatic rage quit and deletion of the map for me.
That is why I have "Void Walker Failsafe Kit" in my map. You get wood, stack of sharp 2 wooden swords and a stack of eff 2 picks, and some leather. It upgrades every intersection, but you can die a lot in my map and be fine.
Community Question: How many full-size CTMs have you legitimately completed, and which ones(if you keep track)?
Kinda wondered when a question of legitimacy would come up, and how it would be received.
To be honest, I've completed every map on my "About Me" page legitimately, save for Sunburn Island, which I didn't want to cheat on but had to. I basically built a nether portal out of the obsidian you get in one of the dungeons, and found myself in the black wool dungeon without any supplies (wanted to see if it was safe). I didn't really want to go in with nothing on me, so I went back through the portal, which took me to the correct place where you're supposed to enter that dungeon in. I tried digging with my fist to get out, but didn't get anywhere, so I resorted to flying out and finding my way back to the mainland.
COMMUNITY QUESTION (Yep another one): What kind of length do you like in full-size CTMs?
Depends on what mood I'm in. If I'm pressed for time or don't want to dive into a grandiose epic, a shorter 3-4 Intersection map is optimal. 4 Intersections is when I've got some time to sink my teeth into the map, and I'd take on a 5 Intersection map when I had multiple consecutive days to mercilessly hammer away at it.
Can we try and just have one community question at a time plz guys, they've been getting pretty common lately and it's been confusing when more than one has been asked within a small time period!
Please pay attention to this people, but especially you, Unknown. We've mentioned this in the Admin's PM, and came to the agreement that rapid-fire Community Questions disrupt currently ongoing questions. The fact that you posted another question in the post directly following one with the current question shows that you of all people need to be told this.
Someone add my Infamy's Lava Lands review to the OP.
It's on our radar, you don't need to ask more than once. In fact, by posting the review in the first place, you shouldn't even need to ask for it to be put up. If 24 hours go by and it isn't up, feel free to ask about the status, but anything more often than that is pushy and obnoxious.

This is another of those "map makers read dis noaw plz" posts. because seriously guys, iteration time...its a thing, that needs to be low.
COMMUNITY QUESTION (Yep another one): What kind of length do you like in full-size CTMs?
I personally like it when ctm's are huge, gigantic, and take a long time to finish, which is why legendary is one of my all time favourite ctm maps. areas like west and east commons, merciless magma zone, and helix caverns from waking up make me really enjoy ctm's as opposed to other kinds of maps.
Smaller maps just make me feel eh when I finish them, they may look and play amazingly, but can never give you the equal amount of satisfaction as defeating a harder map, and this feeling is even more accentuated with Rom-Hack hard maps, such as pantheon and vinyl fantasy.
It feels like more of a journey than an action scene, ya know what I'm saying?. This opinion maybe completely different from most others, but maybe thats cause I finished so many maps that the smaller ones just feel like: another one. The style of map is shifting to the smaller more action packed maps, but I feel those never let you actually enjoy minecraft for what it is, or even the map for that matter.
Well, I've been attacked by so many people today, so I think I'm just going to take a break. Seriously people, what did I do to make you all angry?
As I said, still being attacked.
Oh gawd, not more of this. I hate drama, so I'm going to be as brief as possible in responding to you.
No one is attacking you. Those who have been responding to you have been level-headed, fair, and reasonable in what they say. I suggest you listen to them, while simultaneously casting aside any notions of hostility.

ok, real sorry Bnm, but i have to take the Kaider side of this. Your review of his map was unfair, and you also have been a bit obnoxious to him and others lately. For instance, putting up that second community question directly after Sketch is a very rude thing to do. And don't try to play it off, because i'm 99% sure it was not an accident you posted your own question so soon. I'm not trying to cause trouble here, or even down you specifically, but i'm trying to alert you to your own behavior and let you know it needs to stop. Again, not trying to attack you i'm trying to help you
I've added the review, but make sure next time to read some things posted here. I even recently added this to the review post:
If you believe we have missed a review, then send a PM to WittyWhiscash, and he will get back to you as soon as possible with the review. If he doesn't respond and deletes the PM, then that doesn't mean he has added the review. Check the review list to be sure.
None of us are angry. Nor are we attacking you. We are responding in a mature fashion.
But to be rash in the face of mature people and to attack others, claiming you are being attacked and playing a sympathy card, is not the kind of community image we want displayed here. Please make sure you review your actions on this thread, and think about improving your behaviour here.
Are we all good? Because if not, I might have no choice than to perform a medium-sized blood ritual that may or may not involve multiple human sacrifices in order to summon Fangride the Peacekeeper from the depths of the Forum Moderators Gathering.

After reading your About Me page, I realized I haven't really done much with my own. Guess what I'll be doing?
I didn't realize his computer was broken. Looks like I receive the 'Living Under a Rock 2013' award. I could sacrifice a few calculators, too, if that would help fix it.
EDIT: I have the Mark of the Beast! Bow down to me, mortals! (And you're getting awfully close to 2000 posts, Skeeto!)
...you didn't reply to my PM or the posts in my thread that were directed towards you. I would also have actually asked you to justify the fact that you contradicted yourself several times in your review, and possibly pointed out the fact that your review of Fog of Demise was about 200 words of saying "It is a minecraft map and I liked it". I could point out that you have a habit of double, triple, and occasionally quadruple posting in the thread rather than editing your post, quite often with irrelevant and off-topic material.
...rapid-fire Community Questions disrupt currently ongoing questions. The fact that you posted another question in the post directly following one with the current question shows that you of all people need to be told this.

Also, fun fact: Unknown made 9 out of the 20 posts on page 535.
I also went ahead and added Rock's minimap to the list, even though he didn't contact us, just because he was making it the other day on stream. And because, well, I'd probably get told to by one of you guys soon enough anyway.
If your map hasn't been noticed by me or another admin to be put on the list, PLEASE send the community account a message! I'm gonna try my best to keep it up to date but can't promise I'm going to be aware of every map that's being made at any one time, even if you're a thread regular ><
Also, for the guys who are currently living outside the bubble of awesome, the second CTM Jam looks as though it'll be happening at the end of the month! Go check out the thread.
And Skeeto out! Keep the reviews coming, guys. Been loads recently and it's great to see activity in that form again
Haha, it's fine. I pay too much attention to stuff and talk to him regularly on Skype, so I just assume everyone knows the same as I do XD
Well, I post too much. Way too much. >< No, I won't be doing a special 2k posts shoutout thing. XD
Like Drago said, incredible map. Always gonna be my favourite CTM map of all time. :3 *snuggles Draco*
Edit:
2000th post obtained! I've updated my thread to include Disarray stuffs, so go check it out and let me know what you think! :3 Also, new signature. So excited for this map. :33

Seriously, what do you have against me, I wrote a bad review, and now you have an agenda to go out all hellish on me. -.-

*slap of the wrist*
Upcoming maps list has been updated to include all of the maps I've been sent since the last update! That includes:
Laingral (CTM) -- Rubisk
Prelude (miniCTM) -- Everguard
[unnamed] (CTM) -- orchard28
I also went ahead and added Rock's minimap to the list, even though he didn't contact us, just because he was making it the other day on stream. And because, well, I'd probably get told to by one of you guys soon enough anyway.
Arachnapocalypse (miniCTM) -- rockenroll4life
If your map hasn't been noticed by me or another admin to be put on the list, PLEASE send the community account a message! I'm gonna try my best to keep it up to date but can't promise I'm going to be aware of every map that's being made at any one time, even if you're a thread regular ><
