Hello! Me and my sister have been playing via LAN off a world from her computer for some time. I wanted to play by myself recently without having to start up the world off her computer. I transferred the world to my computer and opened it up with my account logged in. When I entered the world, i had my sister's inventory, not mine. Essentially, I was my sister's player, but with my skin and everything. So I decided to take a closer look in the world files. I opened the 'players' folder and both me and my sister's player files were there, in-tact. With NBTedit, I then opened the level.dat and deleted the default 'player' entry in the file, believing that was the cause of the original inventory problem. The level.dat player files store the default player's inventory, XP, etc., i.e., my sister. (http://www.minecraft...evel.dat_format) But when I entered the world again after deleting the level.dat player files, I was still my sister's player. Does anyone know how to fix this?
tl;dr Transfered LAN world I played on to another computer and am now the player who created the world, not the player who logged into it via LAN originally.
just give all your stuff to your sis via LAN then transfer the file
Nice idea, but then I can't continue it when I run the LAN server off my computer, so she can log in. We would have to continually transfer inventories to each other.

i thought you wanted to play by yourself? if thats a real problem then just make a simple server and only turn it on when you guys want to play since you guys have the same ip its the same world and same player

I tried the server idea. The thing is, it logs me in as my sister as well! I also tried renaming the player.dat files to see if that was the problem, but I am still my sister when i reopen the world. And the world isn't great, it's not bad. You can showcase it if you want to.
