Hey guys- similar question to Rsmalecs, but I've played all the maps we've suggested to him, and I want something slightly different.
I'm looking to play an easy to medium-hard map with a relatively short completion time (under 10 hours), preferably linear-branching, although I don't mind open world.
However, I'd also like it to be supporting the smaller maps, so if someone can point me to a good map that is perhaps lacking in LP's etc. that fits the above criteria, that would be wonderful.
Danke!
My map is lacking in LPs, but it doesn't really fit your criteria. My map is really hard and lengthy, which you don't want. Maybe Thadywin's doomsday would work?
@ kay-der and smalec: This map 'The Bane of Izarus' popped up recently and appears to have what you're looking for. I've not checked it out myself yet, but it looks to be pretty solid and intriguing...adding it to the queue.
A while back also, there was a smaller sized record themed CTM map called 'Warrior's Disk'. However, I'm not sure if it ever got updated for the Anvil format, but it was a quite nice map to play through.
Hey, my first one was terrible and I still put it here. Link?
It's in the same forum post as Skyland Chain. Link in my signature. It's under my series Trail of Distortion. Im actually going to start working on the next map soon.. but you can look at the one I have so far now. It's Chasmal Caverns.
When I finish my CTM map Aporkalypse I shall defintly post a link here :0
I love CTM central. I have played several of the maps here and think this may be the best thread on the forum
(Ignoring Vechs :))
Ok... I started by making Cybele IV with worldpainter, but this means that for some reason the world counts itself as Superflat. Does anyone know a tool that will change the world back so I can use void fog?
you can do this with NBTedit pretty easily.
So basically just open the world in NBTedit(sorry I'm just hoping you know how to do this first part).
Then go down to generatorname and change it from flat to default. The problem with NBtedit though is that everything is automatically set to the plains biome I believe(don't quote me on this).
You can do this in Worldpainter too. Also if you don't know about this filter for MCedit its pretty nice too if you need a specific area to be a certain biome. Ex: a 5x5 room that is in a mushroom biome.

Check rsmalec's map review thread, he's played Spellbound Caves and some others too
He's asking for recommendations for someone else, which is what I was getting at in my post. Two things that tipped me off:
People playing CTM for their FIRST time. If rsmalec has played Spellbound caves, he wouldn't be playing CTM for the first time
He's recommending this for someone else, and considering using the ones he's played.
He obviously wasn't looking for a map to play himself.

I believe it was during one of AMLP's livestreams where you made the comment that it's pronounced KAY-der rather than KY-der.

But I don't know if you'd want it here because it's my second ever map :/
