so my friend showed me this and since i have super shatting net i took this challenge since i cant play on a server yet. and here are some pics of what i have done so far.

I've been getting lost about 2-3 times each time I play in the underground :tongue.gif: and no sign of the Treasure :sad.gif:
I have built a two story house with 25 windows. My cacti farm is RIDICULOUSLY big and also my reed farm.. about half way done with the bookcases. Also built a drowning trap around the skeletal spawner. Waiting for my underground tree farm to grow. This is awesome :biggrin.gif:

Day 15 to 20, lost track... anyways i ditched landand now im building small shelters underwater, mostly out of cobble stone, little sand little glass... anyways im starting to build a underground spawning farm, with the mod i use i will go pick up the two spawns i used, change them and then place them into my spawning thing... altough it was a fail when i figured out that you have to be 16 blocks close to the dungeon spawner for them to spawn(were i stand to collect them it was around 25 blocks away from the closest to me dungeon spawner, fail D: ) anyways i have built a very small garden area(underwater) and im planning to build a lounge... however you spell it... a hang out place underwater next to my underwater farm, and my underwater random room... it will have a glass roof so i can watch the fishys, also i decided to build a GIANT tree farm, im gonna do it right after i finish my longe/room thing... also love the new beds, havent seen a creeper since... and i get a good night sleep :biggrin.gif: although i think sleeping should heal atleast 3 hearts every time you fall asleep, but thats my opinion... any ideas, suggestions for my underwater buildings... im running out...

I've read a few pages and have googled this question countless times: When I spawn, I can't break any blocks
with about a 15x15 area, they comeback after about a few seconds. I am running a Bukkit server, but this also
has happened on the regular minecraft server. Anyone know a solution to this? Survival island isn't fun
when you can't build on half the island.

Easy to answer, What you have to do is get a normal server or if you have NBT edit, build a small platform a little off the island, and set your spawn there, then just swim too your island and build away

Day 20-35 I have been building my lounge and all, i was relaxing a bit, but then i get a message at my chat box "Player(im not giving the name) has joined your game" and it was nice too have a visitor... so i said hello, and i showed him around a bit, he liked it and stuff... And i decided i would build a underwater home for him along with my other underwater shelters, so i gathered materials( I used give commands for gathering supplys, only for his house though) and i started to build his house, he just left though... so now im lonely again, but its almost been a minecraft month now, im amazed how long i have been here and how much i have accomplished, if you would like to join me my server is a hamachi server:

Hey i tried downloading the map and putting it in and it didn't work, i don't know if it was Winrar or something but i can't get it. Now i have a shortcut to the file on my desktop that i can't delete because it says the item it's shortcuting it to (the island file) doesn't exist. As of right now i can't delete it. HELP PLEASE.

Didn't the last survival island stop getting updated after 1.2 as well?

Being a big fan of the Yogcasts adventures, and seeing this map being played by the Yogcast's Simon and Lewis gave me an awesome idea. The end of the series showed Skylord Lysander and Old Peculier rescuing Simon and Lewis but in this map, a Skylord or just some guy with an airship (you) crashes his airship in Survival Island 1.1. The map also includes finding the secret treasure of the father of Old Peculier and learning his story of being trapped on the island and closing a portal deep inside the networks of caves. It is not much more different, apart from the wreckage of the crashed airship, the hidden treasure and the room holding the deactivated portal .. but I thought it would be interesting.

Day 35 I have built a huge mine, got REALLY low... anyways so you know your not sopoused to dig down right? Couse of lava, well i honestly havent followed that rule to this day... i always thought maybe when i dig down that may happen in the future, but i was digging into the wall really low in my cave and then i hit the end of the wall... me acting like a idiot, didnt notice there was lava on the other side so i kept mining out that little doorway, then i noticed it was bright... then lets say i lost my DIAMOND shovel and DIamon pickaxe, do you know how hard it was to get that? thats 4 4 of them...

Woah... i just ran into probaly one of the weirdest cave systems i have ever seen...

Day 1 (keep in mind I'm playing v1.0 since 1.1 wouldn't work on me for whatever reason)
Grew my cacti (now up to 54, from 6)
Grew my sugar cane (up to 6)
Flattened the land (tons of sand ftw)
Started my house
Planted some saplings
Found coal

Day 2
Took advantage of the skeleton spawner to get some bone meal
Used bone meal to make some trees
Used the bucket from the skeleton spawner to make an infinite spring
Grew more cacti (up to over 100 lol)
Grew more sugar cane (up to 18 now)
Started my underground base

Day 3
Worked on underground base
Grew sugar cane (up to about 70)
Smelted sand to make glass
Started to gather supplies to make a skele spawn trap

Your not suppose to leave the island. Those lands you see are just other chunks not generated originally.
