You may be confused as to why a new account has just posted what he claims to be the largest adventure map in Minecraft. Well don't worry. I'll explain. First off, I'm pretty sure that this is the largest adventure map in all of Minecraft. I have done a lot of research and found no other ADVENTURE map that compares to the scale of Ortland. This is far from being the largest Minecraft world, however. Now, why has a new account posted this? Well I couldn't sign into my old account, which was 'zombiemasher302'. If you want proof that there are older versions of this map, then you can check that account.
Now that we have cleared up that, I'll talk about the map. In Ortland, you'll find a 2-3 hour long story. This is not where the map shines however. The map gets large when you get to freeplay mode (which can be accessed from the starter room). In freeplay mode, you can travel to wherever you want in the excessively large world. There is a lot of fantasy world builds and places like castles and various dungeons where you can roleplay and pretend to be a knight or traveler or whatever you feel like. You'll also notice that (admittedly, quite unrealistically) 2 cities as well. The cities are where I spend most of my building hours. They follow the structure of GTA games in the sense that both GTA 5 story and GTA San Andreas stories are included as well as hundreds of races and missions. There are also mask shops, clothes shops and weapon shops in both cities that are stacked with content. On top of this, there are apartments to purchase around the map.
Similarly, there are other games recreated in this map such as:
Ratchet and Clank 2
Ratchet and Clank 3
Ratchet and Clank Deadlocked
Call of Duty World at War (zombie maps)
Call of Duty Black ops 1/3 (zombie maps)
Fallout 4
Dark Souls 3
And many others...
There is a lot more to this map that I simply cannot cover in one thread. If you have any questions about the map or want me to tell you where a specific location is, then ask me by commenting on the thread so that others can see the answers to the questions.
Now... enjoy this map. And if you don't believe what I have told you, then you're in for a surprise.
I'll give it a look and see how it goes. The map size looks promising at the very least.
Half an hour in and I already sequence broke it thanks to the vines. I personally am not a fan of barriers being all over the place to prevent players from getting to somewhere, and I've already taken fall damage multiple times because of this. Reworking the area with higher walls, fences, or further jumps that can't be made are better, but that's my opinion. Also, lots of free spawn eggs, so that's a thing.
