When he does the lava attack it spawns a sign. That if you right click it will give you a lava bucket. When you have the lava bucket wait till he moves his right arm. Then go to the green wool it will give you jump boost jump to his island. Then his arm then his head. use the lava bucket on the red nether brick. repeat 3 times and then it is pretty easy to figure out the rest.
