Finally gotten around to playing this map. So far it's been great.
Quick question: Do TMs get consumed upon using them or can you use them as many times as you want? In normal pokemon games they used to be consumed upon using them back in Generation IV and earlier I think but from Generation V onward you can use TMs as many times as you want.

I'm still wondering that. I'm afraid to use my Dig TM because I might want to use it later.

I hate to say this, but today it crashed about three times from the same backup. That, compounded with me being up to the first gym only to find one trainer in the nature reserve place with level 21 pokemon when I've only got level 11's... this screams to me: poor balancing or a huge emphasis on grinding. But the amount I need to grind, I practically need to double the level of my pokemon using nothing but a bunch of wild pokemon around level 9 or 10. There aren't any trainers around apart from the aforementioned guy in the nature reserve (who is far too strong) that I can use the vs seeker on because the cave is blocked off by a one-block high cliff, meaning no farming extra trainer xp or money for potions or pokeballs.
And why, WHY does the pokemon centre have to be located all the way down a huge spiral staircase that takes about one minute to walk either way? It makes walking back and forth between the pokemon centre and tall grass in order to heal my pokemon extremely boring and repetitive.
Before you suggest this, I did try installing the 5x XP mod with that command (I didn't install it from the start, I installed it when in the first gym's city). It worked, but... well, it just kept crashing and restarting my progress within 10-30 minutes. I could make a backup after every single battle, but given how long it takes to log out of the world, make a backup, then log back in... no thanks!
Any one or even maybe two of these things happening on their own wouldn't normally slow me down. But all of them compounded together seriously drained the fun from this epic map, so with a heavy heart, unless you or anyone has any suggestions, I think I'll just have to give up on this one.
Before you dismiss my rants as being entirely negative, I can tell that this map has had an amazing amount of work put into it, both in the builds, pokemon, visuals, and more. I particularly liked how some pokemon were based off of minecraft mobs, like for the starters, the grass type was a grass bunny, the fire type was a magma cube, and the water type was a silverfish. But unfortunately, Minecraft, and my computer, does have its limits, and this map sure pushed them exceedingly hard, and sometimes broke them.
The spoiler contains an idea for a last-ditch attempt that I can think of for getting back into the map
I read in the comments on your exp mod video that you considered giving out the rare candy code but decided that with extra xp people would still need to do work. Well, I've been doing work, but the crashing keeps making me lose it, so... well, unless you have already, you might want to consider giving out the rare candy code. Even if it's just in a PM.
I'd use the code wisely and only due to losing progress on grinding from crashing.

I'm sorry to hear about the crashing. This normally would not, and should not, happen. I'm curious - whereabouts does this occur? Is it at a specific time of the map, or when you're attempting to execute a function in the map?

The most common times when there are crashes is either directly before a battle begins or directly after a battle ends. If it crashes directly before a battle, when I log back into the world, I'm in the arena but no prompt pops up like "A wild <pokemon> appeared!" or "You are challenged by <trainer>!" Because there's that whole problem of no quitting when in a battle... well, yeah.
As for crashing after a battle, it pops me back out into the world again, and I can interact with everything properly, but for some reason my lead pokemon gets renamed to BATTLING, and has the status effect for fainted even if that pokemon hadn't actually fainted in the battle. If I go to the pokemon centre, the BATTLING pokemon gets restored to 10,000 health with -10,000 power points on all its moves. I never tried actually entering a battle with that glitched pokemon in lead - as far as I was concerned, the crash had corrupted that pokemon so I reverted to a backup. This BATTLING glitch happened twice in a row off the same backup (albeit on different pokemon - first on my Sonyar then on Pyraiz)

It's likely caused by exiting out of the game while a redstone signal is in the middle of doing its thing. I was mostly concerned by it being caused by something else.
I'm not sure why it's crashing every time you enter a battle - while it is true that a LOT happens while transitioning into battle, it should not be crashing you at all. Perhaps you may be running on an extremely high view distance setting? Needless to say, if it keeps happening, the map will inevitably glitch out due to all of these interruptions.

It does not crash every time I enter a battle - or exit a battle - it seems like there's a small chance of it happening.
I've been running the minimum 16 chunks render distance (which, if you ask me, seems fairly high anyway) and my graphics settings were turned down to their lowest. I don't have optifine installed, does that really help a lot or not much?

just wondering but is there a download to only the backup program that is included in the save I know its made by padawan but his website is nothing and i do not want to go dig into his tweets

Hey,
You could have looked at my posts on this account...
That's awsome! Also, I have another problem. Lately, whenever I encounter a trainer, it would go to scene, but the trainer won't talk. I'll just get stuck in the scene.

Try clearing your slowness effect in that situation (/effect @p slowness 0).
In that situation, you've simply crossed through the trainer's eyes before it could send you into battle. This can happen if there's any lag upon encounter.

Hey,
You could have looked at my posts on this account...
Anyways here it is.
(I haven't tested it in a while so it might not work as well but I hope it helps).
I am most likely inactive on this account! If you want to contact me, here's my Twitter @PandawanMT.
Check out my website!
So close to releasing my new map! Gonna beta test it next week... Probably coming out in two weeks! Follow My Twitter for more info!
I'm curious. Is the region based off of something in the real world? Or is it just new overall?
