Pixelmon Mansion is a Pokemon based adventure map where you progress through several pokemon-type themed rooms and trainers to unlock all parts of the Mansion. This Mansion is set with all Gen 1 Pokemon split into rooms of up to three different types with matching trainers to unlock other rooms. Each Pokemon type room has 2 floors, one for spawning up to 15 Pokemon at one time (so far) and one with a PokeCenter and PokeMart clerk and statues of each pokemon that can be found in the floor below. The rooms are 50*25 blocks big providing plenty of room for wild Pokemon to walk without getting in the way of your training. Each Pokemon has a different set rarity level meaning you are more likely going to find a rattata spawn than a ditto. Each room is set with level caps making it easier to train Pokemon without them all being insanely op whilst you're using a Charmander with scratch. The first room starts with Level 2-20, followed by 10-30, 15-35 etc. On the opposite side of the main hallway in the mansion you will find the trainers, each trainer has Pokemon usually within 5 levels of each other to make a fair and uncomplicated battle. There is three trainers which can be battle once every Minecraft day (20 minutes) and the Final boss trainer (me) which can only be beaten once per player in the world. The boss trainer will have slightly higher leveled pokemon and when you beat them you will be given some money, a few rewards for your pixelmon, and a badge to unlock the next type area. There is 7 different rooms based on types, and an eighth room for any Pokemon I may have completely forgot about or saved for a stronger level. Once you have beaten the boss trainer in the eighth room you will receive an evolution stone for each of the legendary birds, an orb and a master ball, HOWEVER you only get one orb limiting you to making the tough decision of which bird to pick. The ninth room has a shrine for each of the Legendary birds and cloning machines for when you possibly encounter mew later on. Once you have beaten the boss trainer you will unlock the Pixelmon Garden. This spawns every single Pokemon (excluding MewTwo) from the Generation 1 line up between level 5 and 85. At the moment this is the only way to possibly find mew but it has a really low spawn rate.
How to get the map working:
1. First of all you will need Pixelmon version 4.3.0 Beta 5 and Forge to set up pixelmon.
2. Once you have Pixelmon started download the Pixelmon Mansion zip file from the link below ↓↓↓
3. Once it has downloaded which should only take a few seconds you'll need to search "run" in your computers search bar
4. A small program will open down the bottom left of your screen where you will need to type in %appdata% then click OK.
5. This should take you to a file explorer where you should find a folder called .minecraft
6. Open this folder and there should be another folder called saves
7. From the downloaded zip file there should be a folder called Pixelmon Mansion Beta copy this whole folder into the saves folder inside .minecraft
8. Next you'll need to copy the custom config file for the Pixelmon mod that is in the zipped folder, This should be called pixelmon.hocon copy this file into the config folder found in .minecraft which is created when mods are loaded for the first time.
9. Load up your minecraft launcher with a forge profile and pixelmon and if everything was done right you should be able to find the Pixelmon Mansion World where you can start playing.
Downloads:
Downloads required for this map include forge, the map and pixelmon 4.3.0 Beta 5, Here are the links
Forge: The forge installer which is required to run mods in minecraft, tutorials to get forge to work can easily be found with Google, YouTube or on this Forum
Pixelmon: The Pixelmon Mod itself.
The Map: The save file for the minecraft map which needs to be moved to the saves folder (see above) and the custom Pixelmon config file which is changed to makes sure only gen 1 pokemon spawn and only gen 1 pokemon can be used as the starter.
Screenshots:
(1) Example of one of the pokemon rooms (fire, poison, ghost), (2) Example of one of the trainer rooms, (3) Example of the second floor of a Pokemon room (fire, ghost, poison), (4) Pixelmon Gardens which is unlocked after beating all of the trainers in the game so far.
Things to be added in the near future:
Stronger and higher leveled trainers at the back of Pixelmon Mansion.
Other Information:
If there is anything wrong with the map like trainer errors or constant crashes please comment what happened and I will try to fix that as soon as possible. So far a lot of bosses spawn which means making money is slightly easier for the player so the prize money from trainers are low. Shinies are really common in the map I have found 7 in little under 24 hours working on the map. Sometimes the NPC trainers appear to have despawned, this is just a visual glitch, they will appear if you reload the map or chunks, They can still be battled by throwing a Pokemon at them even if they don't appear to exist. This map is a beta release for me to gather feedback about whether amount of pokemon that spawn are too low or if the whole thing in general is too easy so don't expect a master piece of a map. If you want to make a YouTube lets play of the beta version of this map feel free to post a link in the comments.
Hope you enjoy the map and please give feedback about the map, what can be improved or what is always perfect and I will be working on the promised features in the next week or two.
