The boss fight looked sooo cool! However, my PC was too bad to handle it and so crashed. Repeatedly. D:
Yeah, the boss runs on a bunch of armor stands and way too many fill clocks. Wish there was a way to streamline it, but unfortunately there isn't. I'll try to make a less resource intensive boss fight next time.
Yeah, I have no idea how people are still having issues with the ancient book. It's working fine for me, and everyone else I've tested the map on. I think its just a minecraft bug. :/
The sky serpent vanishing on the first stage is rare, but a definite bug on my part. It was fixed in Version 1.6.
Yeah, will definitely download version 1.6. The map is short enough that I don't mind going through the rest of it to get back to the boss either.
Anyone else get the infamous nvidia crash on this map? Is it the map or just the version of MC? I haven't had the error in over a year and the moment I try this map I get it every 5 minutes. Would love to give it a try though so if anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

Woa, that doesn't sound good. The map has a constant redstone clock running (I set it at a rather slow speed to reduce lag, but it could still be causing issues.) Maybe that's what's messing you up? I have a nvidia graphics card on my computer as well, but I haven't gotten the crash yet. Wish I could help you out...
Yeah, that seems like a common complaint. Simplicity was started as just a fun way for me to test out the new 1.8 features, and it gradually grew into a short map. The sequel is in planning phase and I want to make it much longer.

To be honest, I DO have another complaint:
The final boss is really out of place. In a puzzle map, I was expecting a puzzle boss more than anything.

Perhaps. I wanted to end the map with something memorable, but maybe I went a bit overkill. To be honest, I just really wanted to make an epic boss. Oh well, maybe I'll skip it in the next map.
On the other hand, I plan on making the adventure more expansive so a boss might actually fit.
Just finished it (1.6ver) I died many times in the void parkour and the nether puzzle... but only twice to the boss! Then again maybe it was my lag that saved me - I was able to predict where it was going and move out of the way before it got there.

Actually, the boss is underwhelming simplistic.
If the player has to, say:
Craft something to deflect lightning onto the boss,
Use the boss's scales to damage part of its body and/or move it to an area where it can actually be damaged,
or something along the line,
the boss fight will fit much more.
Arrow spam does not really fit into the game.
Having the boss invulnerable to everything until lightning strikes it is the only good thing about the boss.
So when I got to the final boss, I did not receive the bone bow. Also when I took down his first sheild star thing... he disappeared.... like... completely... the Boss Health Bar was still there and I was still being attacked... but the boss was not there! I have no idea what happened

Hey Miningaddict, it sounds like you were playing in a version prior to 1.6, but after 1.3 or so. I removed the bone bow since it caused a bunch of issues in the earlier versions, so no problem that you didn't get it. As for the boss randomly vanishing... that's a bug on my part. It's happens rarely, but very annoying when it does. Version 1.6 fixed this issue. Sorry you ran into it. :/
Nice playthrough so far. I find your commentary style very entertaining.
Looks like you're in an earlier version of the map... I'm crossing my fingers and hoping you don't run into any issues on the boss fight! It was fairly buggy in the early versions. Good Luck!
Oh really? That makes sense, I had a couple bugs while recording the second part today (I downloaded it a few weeks ago). I'll make sure to upgrade to the newest version before the next part! Thanks for letting me know!

Sure, no problem. Hmm... I'm curious as to what these bugs were. Guess I'll have to watch your video when you upload it.
(Also, there's a walkthough on the main post if you ever get stuck. Some people have reported 'bugs' that are actually just difficult puzzles.)
The bug was the part where you have to punch down the wall. It didn't let me. Actually I think that's they only bug I found really
Ah, you're actually supposed to sprint into the wall, and it will shatter. Not punch it. Don't worry though, basically everyone gets stuck on that part.

Ohh, ok that makes sense. Didn't think of trying that

This is a little too short, to be honest.

Either way, epic map.

Hello
I couldn't teleport to the water temple
The stream of water particles has disappeared as well
The hint just said "If only there was some way to restore power..."
What can I do now?
Thank you very much! I appreciate it!
