Welcome to Mole People, a single player adventure map! In this unique adventure, you find yourself in what seems to be an abandoned subway system left in ruins after an apocalyptic event. This map is very easy to install. All you need to do is drag the map into your saves folder and hit play!
If you're stuck, you can refer to my walk-through:
Note: Make sure you're on 1.8.8! This map is recommended for one player due to the level design and collectables, but if you want to play on a server, make sure to have command blocks enabled.

Subway looks pretty good. Is there any background or lore? (forum is intentionally vague...)
Went down a track.
Spider spawner - but I have nothing, running past.
Yellow station.
Supplies. Empty chests. Lots of empty chests - that's annoying.
Zombies.
Train car. Can't enter.
Killed by skeleton at the far end.
Thoughts showed up - didn't get those earlier...
Heard an explosion somewhere.
Ah, ok - so this is actually linear, disguised as a maze.
Wait. There's no way to get up into the open car or any other way. Skeletons got me again.
Ok... so... what am I missing here...?
Ok. I don't see anything I can do. Going to re-read the forums...

Is there supposed to be a ladder on the far end of the train?

Is there supposed to be a ladder on the far end of the train?
You went through the chests too fast. There is a ladder in there that can be put on the far end of the train - as hinted by front end of the train where there is bedrock with a ladder. Also, there's deeper meaning to both the long passages that you have to walk down, the empty chests and the cobwebs. They're all plot devices to make you feel like a mole person. I hope this helps!

Well, I cheated my way up into the train. I just can't see anything else to do here.
Glas cutters.
Now I get to carry them ALL the way back? Don't want to take the risk dying to see if keepInventory
is on.
Hmm. have I seen dirt?
Found some I can go down at end of tracks. Won't be able to get back up.
Ok - new section. So, I'm pretty sure the train not having a ladder was a bug.
Not really sure what all the anvils are representing.
Parkour over the water?
brick station
iron sword
spider tunnel is a bit annoying! Sometimes, you can't hit the spiders if they are protected in a web.
flint
aHHhhhhh - I see. Jump off the anvils, into the train!
Damn spider tunnel again. Why not make this sword break webs?
I do like the incremental tools.
Is this ACTUALLY the end? Or is this in-character?
backtracking...
Wait... that... seems to be the end.
Hm.

I'm not sure I understand "things aren't always what they seem".
That was interesting. Good layout and incremental gear. Kinda challenging at parts. Creepy - kept waiting for a jumpscare.

Review Summary
Navigate the abandoned subway system while utilizing a series of tools. The map is fairly linear, but well built such that it feels more maze-like than it is. Visually appealing. An overall creepy vibe with intentionally absent background. Your exploration is the story. Level design is good as well - nice and twisty loops alongside previous areas. Pretty challenging, particularly in the webbed areas. Overall, I liked it - simple, but well-made.
