Review Summary
Your vacation is cut short by a mysterious spire containing 5 caves to explore and obtain 'samples'. An adventure played in survival mode (similar to a CTM). I found the visuals to be nice in most areas, with attention to detail, for example adding ruined furnishings and making stalactites crooked. There is a primary NPC with dialog to support an otherwise thin story, journals with obvious observations of the area you're in and a little bit of suggested direction. Challenge is so-so, mostly darkness (random mobs) and somewhat predictably placed custom spawners that have mobs with block heads but no otherwise obvious customizations. Ghast spawners were placed out of the main path. No blazes, charged creepers, or witch spawners that I saw. The level design seems more visual than functionally making combat more interesting - you are mostly in large open caves with plenty of manueverability or in tight hallways easily controlled by blocks. Effects were pretty good - the test tube samples being experimented on as they are gathered, chest items with NBT loot, a few evaporating doors, the generators in area 5, and the final cutscene. One random / out of place logic puzzle. You can see that this map was created over a decent period of time, and the map maker learned as he went along - by the end, he is incorporating some unique themes - I'm eager to see what is in the next map.
If you posted a playthrough, feel free to send me a link and I'll put it on the thread page. Hope you had fun and it didn't peter off for you like it did for Iskall and Xisuma! I'm repairing that and other things now that I'm back.

This map has been updated for Minecraft 1.12 with command block chains and a lot of things optimized and fixed under the hood. Good luck on your improved adventures!

Pretty boring for the most part, but next episode makes up for it. It's going out tomorrow because of technical issues currently.
Episode 4:
Prepare for you map to explode a bit. Iskal and Xisumavoid are doing a LP of it.
^^ the map probably has exploded because of Xisuma and Iskall
Im gonna make an LP on it with my friend most likely. Wonder how xisuma found the map.

I've started a playthrough! With my friend Sandstone, we're casually going through the map, mostly since he hadn't played it yet.
We're not dashing through in record time or anything, but I do point out some secrets through the course of our adventures.
Enjoy!
