Another one of those non-euclidean puzzle maps [1.8]
Thanks for 100+ downloads!
Here's a relatively short puzzle/maze map I made using quite a lot of relative teleportations. It's pretty self explanatory - complete the three rooms to win. If you're stuck or need help in any way, post a comment, and I'll reply as soon as I can. Actually, comment any feedback you have at all. I'll probably be updating the map as I discover bugs or think of improvements. Here's the Planet Minecraft post.
Things change while you're not looking at them, so be observant. Good luck.
PLAY IN 1.8 SNAPSHOTS
Due to a recent fix, the block piston_extension was removed, so my map is no longer playable. Make sure you play before 14w29.
I had no idea the wooden button was there one of my friends found it...
and every so often I would lose a heart from teleporting inside a block in the Blue Room, But the other rooms are ok...
also what command did you use to see when the button is pressed? I'm also an amateur mapmaker and I was wondering how did you have a button connected to nothing run a command!?!?!
I love non-euclidean games/minecraft maps so I really want to try this one! So far I have found one problem, I spawned outside the map in creative mode so I have no idea where I am supposed to go because the whole thing looks so confusing to navigate (which is a sign of a good non-euclidean map). If you could fix the download or maybe tell me where to go to start that would be nice because i really would like to try this out!
I was just flying around the map trying to find the start and it randomly said "You won!" and I laughed so hard. I was like "I didn't even do anything!" XD

Oh goodness I will do that right now, sorry. I forgot that it positions new players where I was, and not at the worldspawn.

Oh, I absolutely love having a command connected to a button that isn't visibly attached to a command block. What I did was this:
First, place a command block near where the player will be when the player pushes the button. Then use it to summon a spawner that has a range large enough so that it activates when the player is far enough away from the button to push it. For example, I used this command for the button in the red room:
/setblock ~ ~-1 ~ minecraft:mob_spawner 0 replace {EntityId:XPOrb,SpawnCount:1,SpawnRange:1,MinSpawnDelay:1,MaxSpawnDelay:1,MaxNearbyEntities:32000,RequiredPlayerRange:5,SpawnData:{Pos:[1.5,102.0,21.5],Age:5999}}
Then, put a pressure plate connected to a clock at the coordinates you specify in the command (they would be 1,102,21 in the example). This way, the clock runs if and only if you are in range of the spawner. Hook up a command block to the clock that is triggered by the spawner with a testforblock command to test for a pushed button that is the correct kind (wooden or stone) in the correct position and orientation. In the red room I used this command:
/testforblock 10 68 31 wooden_button 12
Then take a comparator output from the testforblock command block and have it run your command.
I love this kind of minecraft "magic trick." It makes for a very clean display. Even better, I would argue, would be the "invisible" button I had at that one part in the blue room.
I fixed the inaccurate teleportation in the blue room, by the way. Thanks for pointing it out.

Oh, and if that doesn't work for some reason, the coordinates of the spawn are 0 72 -2 I believe. Or 0 64 0 to go straight to the main room.
Have you played The Code III: The End by Jespertheend? It is, in my opinion, the best non-euclidean map. Unfortunately it's for 1.7, so there's no smooth teleportation, but it's amazing even without smooth teleportations. Here's a link:

kyledude252, did you ever play the map after I fixed it? If so, what did you think?
This is amazing! I love how you kept teasing the exits. I thought the button puzzle in the blue room was very clever!
Thank you very much! I'm still tweaking things, so I could use a little input if you don't mind. Did you think it was hard to find the button on the ceiling before the red room?
It does seem weird to have the button outside the room.
I just removed the button and placed a new invisible button (like in the blue room) in another location. Same with the green room, to keep it consistent. Thanks for your input!

If you're super stuck, here's a walkthrough:
Also, how hard was it to find the wooden button right outside the red room? I'm thinking I might make it easier to find.
Thanks! What do you mean about the teleporting? Was it just visually choppy, or would you end up inside blocks, or what?

(Still figuring out the way commenting works, so I accidentally posted this again as a separate comment. Oops.)

Hm, I think I'm going to hide it better. If you hadn't clicked the button, the corridor leading to the exit would have not been there.
