Hello, really great map, I actually found this way better than the first 2. Anyway, I'm stuck at the mirror room. I thought I was missing something so I looked at a guide but I did correctly, there's the reflection of the door but I just can't pass through it. I also restarted the map and did that room again but still nothing. Also yes I'm playing in 1.7.4.
EDIT 2: I also am 100% sure I didn't break any ladder, I even restarted the world and I just touched those blocks that needed to be changed.
hmh, that's weird. I think it happened when you walked out of the room. But that should never have happened and honestly you're the first one having this problem.
To fix it you can open to lan and allow cheats, then in the chat enter the following commands:
/setblock -11 31 -179 ladder 4
and
/setblock -11 32 -179 air
One more question, what's the render distance you're using in the settings?
Also I'm sure I saw someone else in this thread have the same problem. They should be post #363 and #371 if what they're describing is my same error.
Thanks for the support!
You're right about #363 and #371. I just assumed they broke the ladder themselves. For now I'm just going to leave it as it is because it's hard to fix a bug that only happens once in a while and I haven't touched the redstone in such a long time I'm not even sure wether I still know how everything works.
Again thanks for the kind words
Uh hi again, First I'm sorry for bothering you again, but I still have problems.
I also think the problem doesn't come from the commands because they work well for you, but they would more come from my game settings or something like this, because if not I really don't know where the problem is then.
So if you have any clues which are not related to the commands, please let me know.
If commands are not working for you at all, you are either using the wrong minecraft version or you are on a server that has command blocks disabled
if you want to set a block at 0 0 0 when a player is standing in 155 63 96 you'll have to use this command
/execute @p[155,63,96,1] ~ ~ ~ setblock 0 0 0 stone
you'll have to actually power the command block when the player is standing in the area
you probably want to set the command on a fill clock
Well, I was in Singleplayer when I did these commands, and I used 1.8, so remains the fact I have to make a clock for it.
Well, I hope that won't make lags, and if it's the only way then....
Edit: Wrote Well twice lel
A clock usually doesn't cause any lag, unless you put a lot of command blocks on it. If that's the case I suggest making multiple clocks for multiple command blocks and disabling/enabling clocks dynamically when you need them.
I loved this map. But one thing kept me from beating it. In the find the differences room the falling sand did not disappear and it formed a block. I really do not understand why that happened. The same thing was with the shrinking potion. since the block formed at the bottom, it caused the block to form at the top too, so shrinking potion did not work. So instead of reapearing falling sand there were blocks. I couldn't get to the Paper rooms. Do you know a fix?
This is after i hit all the things. All lamps were on. I also hit that hidden lamp. All secrets were found.
Hey, I'm glad you liked my map
I'm not sure what is causing this bug but I've had multiple reports of it now. The weird thing is that this has always been working. It's only since a few months that this bug started happening.
I'll see if I can fix this when I have time.
I have a feeling it's for slow computers. Every time i see a youtuber everything is fine (because they have insane computers). But when i see people with slow computers that thing happens. When this computer was pretty much new falling sand worked as it should have. But now from time to time the falling sand does it's own thing. It really doesn't matter what command you put in. If you do "/summon FallingSand ~ ~ ~ {TileID:1,Time:1}" sometimes it's the same as "/summon FallingSand ~ ~ ~ {TileID:1}". Sometimes you can add a motion tag and the motion tag doesn't work everytime the command block is powered. It's like 80% of the times it works.
Also this isn't the right topic but i applied to the zeGame thingy. Could you check mine? [email protected] Hope i can help with translating to lithuanian. You know a guy from lithuania. "Cough" MineIrCraft "cough"
Except my computer isn't slow. I can't get past the mirror room because of this bug and it's stalled my play through so badly I'm restarting
I have a problem with my map. When I go to the reflection room. I solve the puzzle and at this point, I go through a fake wall. Only except it is not letting me through. I was using 1.7.4 at this point and I set my Render Distance to 6. I didn't know what went wrong. I cannot continue the game until I figure out what to do. I tried using 1.7.5, That didn't work. Tried 1.7.3 and lower but they didn't help. I redownloaded the map to see if it helped. It didn't. I even reinstalled Minecraft, But that didn't work. What can I do?

I played map when it just came out, i had to read walktrough because i couldn't solve it all by myself, i did play it few more times. After almost 4 years i downloaded it and i consider it that it's the best vanilla map ever made! I was hoping all these years you'll make part 4, is that ever going to happen? Btw i had the problem with reflection room too and solved it how you said above. Again great map.

Thanks that means a lot
I don't think the Code IV will ever happen. I haven't played Minecraft a lot anymore for the last 2 years or so. I did start developing games though so perhaps the Code IV will come in the form of a game one day.
This map is awesome. I enojyed the puzzles. I'm a big fan of that kind of stuff. When i finished it, i saw the question mark. Does that mean there's going to be the Code IV? I follow you on twitter and when i looked your pics you have posted there, i saw you started working on the Code IV. Now we come to my second question: Why did you stop making of the Code IV? Did you find some sort of bug you couldn't fix? Or was it the Filmacademy? I'm waiting for your answer. P.S. I know i'm not the only one who's asking about the Code IV.
Hi,
Yeah that's true I did post some screenshots of the Code IV work in progress. The reason why I stopped working on it is partially because I didn't have enough time to continue working on it. But for the most part it was because I felt like I couldn't make something better than the Code III.
I had been working on the map for quite a bit but from what I remember it wasn't really that good. There were no special mind blowing effects and the puzzles were a bit generic. Also there was just no cohesion in the map whereas in the Code III there were these puzzles scattered around the map that were all interconnected in some way.
At some point I just lost the motivation to work on it and so I never really finished it.
I hope that answers your question
But you can make the code IV in Unity. Or at least another mind blowing puzzle game in unity.
I've already made some cool games in Unity
One of them is ZeGame and the other is splix.io
There's also a few other projects I'm currently working on. It's best to check my twitter for any news on that.
Yeah, I already tried zegame but was annoyed that the lvl editor, you need to pay. (as well as the splitting block mechanics.) But would be my choice of relaxing game alongside Monument Valley if not for my limited phone space.
I just saw splix.io but yet to try it.
16-07-2020 edit: wow, I was the very last guy to post on this already dead thread that has died 3 years ago. But yeah. The code III is still one of the best maps out there. I came back just to learn how to build in the code III style.

Please create The CODE 4!!!!!!!!!!!:steve_tearful:
Can I just ask what was the 5 letters purpose because i did not end up using them? (U,R,H,J,Y)
(at the upsidedown part)
it opens up a room that reveals the symbol for the number 4. But you could also guess this number if you have all the other numbers.
