Creativity: 2. Regular parkour is regular. Although it contained many types of parkour, (regular, ladders, fences, heads, etc.) I still feel like it could use some spicing up in uniqueness.... How about some added challenges, like bow shooting or mob fighting? Besides that, there is an added maze which is really easy to complete. Mazes are not unique unless you add a gameplay mechanic (not sure at this point) to make them interesting. My favorite part of the map was the second trial-and-error portion where you had to remember facts about the previous levels in order to proceed.
Difficulty: 2. Difficulty was steady (challenging) for the majority of the map, though the curve did go down/up at some parts. Parkour is partly based on luck, which could be tough for some Minecrafters, and mazes are easy yet time-consuming.
Detail: 1.5. Block variation is good, using a variety of different blocks to simulate different environments. I do feel like some of the blocks should be changed; iron/gold/diamond blocks do not look good because of the borders and are commonly used in maps like this. I want an atmosphere while I am jumping, and a simple one material wall won't convey what I want. Maybe even blend the parkour into the environment; build houses or something like that and have the players jump on the roof. Minecraft is only limited by your imagination.
Gameplay and Experience: 1.5. Although the parkour was challenging, it was nothing I haven't seen before in a map. Gameplay and experience is partly how well I enjoyed the map, and surprises are a huge part of that factor. Taking the three categories into perspective, the difficulty could use some balancing, the detail could use some work, and I would incorporate some extra non-parkour challenges to make the map unique. Overall, this is an average parkour map that you should try if you like to jump a lot.
Because that is what this map basically is.
Jumping.
+ Block variation good throughout the map. + Variety of materials to jump on, making the map challenging and fun at times. - The map still needs some more detail everywhere. - #LessParkourMoreWhatever.
Overall Score™: 2 + 2 + 1.5 + 1.5 = 7/12. Average. Keep it up, Kowperman! Diamonds to you.
