Hello everyone! RickyMario7 here and this is my recreation of Hyrule from The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap!This is a project I've been working on for several months now and thought that now would be a good time to post what I have so far. This map will be released somewhere in the near future, so you may download for your viewing pleasure.
This little map here shows the progress of the map thus far and which areas I am currently working on. Here's also a little list of what areas are finished and what is being worked on as well:
Areas Completed:
Southern Hyrule Field
Hyrule Town
Lon Lon Ranch
Eastern Hills
Minish Woods
Trilby Highlands
Western Wood
Veil Falls
Lake Hylia
Mt. Crenel
Mt. Crenel's Base
Royal Valley Currently Working On:
Castor Wilds Not Started:
Wind Ruins
Cloud Tops
Cloud Tops Tower
Hyrule Castle Garden
Here's a full view of the map if you wanna see it all (Sorry, my mapping program I used to make isometric views for some reason wouldn't cooperate so have an image!):The first download for the map will be released once the entire overworld has been finished. From there, there will be a second release after all of the house interiors and dungeons are complete. I may also make this into an adventure map, but no promises there.(I will try my hardest to make the dungeons fully functional like in the actual game.)The Minish Cap is one of my favorite Zelda games, and this project is something I am really excited to work on. :3
Changelog:
8.05.13 - Added pictures of Veil Falls and updated progress of the map.
11.08.13 - Postponing work on Mt. Crenel as it proving to be quite a challenge. Finished Lake Hylia and now working on Royal Valley. Will post pictures soon.
11.11.13 - Finished Mt. Crenel! Woo!
More images of the map:
The Legend of Zelda and The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap are owned by Nintendo. Texture Pack used in the screenshots is Sphax PureBD.
I don't have a specific date in mind when it'll be finished as of right now. Will probably be a few months until it is done (I'm just guesstimating). I will let people know when it is complete though. :3

If you make the adventure map, will you add the srinking?
Of course I will add the shrinking ability! I'll probably have to make a second version of the map where everything is in a much bigger scale though. But MCedit will make that part easy.
Added a picture of Veil Falls as well as an updated version of the isometric map! Progress on the map is going good and I am starting work on Mt. Crenel...ugh. Terrain in 2D Zelda games does not translate easily into 3D. xD
If you will make it into a Adventure craft map, could you keep a version of the map that has no mods? I would like to play it vanilla!
For one thing I'm not making this using adventure craft. xD
My original thought in terms of this map was using the Legendgear mod, but I will try my best to make it so it doesn't need mods at all. If that's not the case, there will be a version of the map that is vanilla that you just go explore around in.
I really hope you continue this until you finish. It looks amazing, and I've seen so many video game recreations either postponed indefinitely or cancelled because it's too challenging, and I especially don't want this to happen to a recreation of one of my favorite games.
Okay finished details on Mt. Crenel and now I've moved on to Castor Wilds....one problem though...I have no idea what to do for the muck sorta mud stuff that requires the Pegasus Boots to cross. Soul sand is one possibility, but it just looks odd. I need some way to distinguish muck from regular water...any ideas?
Well. I'm pretty darn excited. Anyhow, yeah you should keep a version of the map completely vanilla, I guess just to explore. One mod that is a must for this is Custom NPCS http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/833003-162164-custom-npcs-splanmp/
You can make this map so realistic, i.e. no talking to npcs before the 'event' that happens, then being able to trade with someone later. And you can put in dialog in the game.
I ABSOLUTELY love that you're doing this. I was thinking of doing this months ago, but opted to check if this was a thing every now and again. And I must say, you are impressive with your designs on the overall thing. Much better than what I could build. I'm going to enjoy watching this unfold into a well finished, well done map. Just keep up the excellent work : ) You have my gratitude. As an added thing, have you thought about a way of unlocking figurines similarly to turning in mystery shells, or a gallery place you could be able to go to, to see them? I just that'd be a cool add on to think about : ). I loved collecting and saving my shells for those things XD.

Should I work on Hyrule Castle first and then upload the map or would you guys be patient enough until I finish both Hyrule Castle and the Cloud Tops?
