Found this map after watching the beginning of Guude, Beef n Chad's playthrough last week, and have just finished marathonning it on multiplayer (many a Zistonian house was made though).
Overall really impressed at how well-balanced and high-quality everything is. The custom mobs were well used, the loot system was fun and not randomly generated, and the areas looked pretty too. Top quality stuff, thanks for making it!
Wow, it must have been quite the marathon! I'm glad you enjoyed the map!
The Hint for the light blue wool was rather unhelpful, we thought the hint (Original Birth-place) indicated the original spawn or the smoldering ruins and yet it was at the Grand Intersection and we had to look online for that information (we had even been there before and hadn't found the entrance! Other than this we have been really enjoying this Map. Good Job
There should be a sign under the Grand Intersection that says it was the original spawn point of the map. Perhaps Mojang decided to remove it with 1.8 being glitchy -- I'll take a look. Other than that, I'm glad you're enjoying the map!

Hey, IK its been a long time since its release, but I just found out. Figured I'd congradualte you on it. I remember when you still had little idea about CTM's, cool to see that growth :p.
EDIT: Sorry for the necro, but I didn't know where else to congratulate without contacting you directly, which I thought could be wierd.

Thanks. This was definitely one giant leap from Pathfinder Elemental!
I do have a question however, how are you suposed to get the brown wool if the place blows up ?
I mean I know its our fault if we make it blow up , but still, Ive never seen any CTM where you could so easily lose the game and not even be able to make a come back for it.

Im assuming I missed something tho, maybe ?
There is backup brown wool not far from where the original cores were. Those lava flows on the coaster sure look suspicious...
I'm very near the end, and... well.. blew up the brow wool. Now reading here, I discover that (per your last post) there's backup wool somewhere. All good and dandy. BUT! I want to solve the brown wool explosion box thingy. And I only got one try at it, and don't quite feel like going through most of the map again (in order to get the necessary gear mostly...) just to have another stab at it.
So what can I do? *sad panda*
======
Side note aside, I laughed out loud a couple of times I fell into traps, and managed to only have 13 deaths where I'm at. Currently AFK-ing at one of my many grinders to get blocks, before plunging towards THE monstrosity, very soon. Most deaths that weren't traps were creepers. I lost the Yellow bow that way.
And the scenery is just... wow! so many cool areas! (Although discovering the third water area in a row at intersection two, I was quite relieved to find lava based play later on! :D)
All in all, thanks for the awesome map, and wish me luck for the last area!

G.R.D. (Still $*@#&! about the Brown Core)
PS: Also first post. oh...
Sorry about the late reply. By now you have probably finished the map. It sounds like you had some fun!
If you want to tackle the brown wool again, you can always download a fresh copy of the map, open the world to LAN with cheats enabled, give yourself some items/fly in creative mode to the coaster, and give it another go.
13 deaths sounds pretty unlucky! Still, it's a low number -- did the Monstrosity get the counter ticking?
But I'm having a small problem. I made a server and at intersection 1 some of the areas and other areas around the map are blocked with a HUUGE sandstone wall. I tried digging through but it takes up so much space and I can't access some areas.
hoping you could help?
Unfortunately it sounds like you got a corrupt download. I've had this reported once before and I believe it is on curse.com's end. Bummer. If you'd like, you can send your save folder as a .zip file to my email ([email protected]) and I'll reply with a fixed version. Otherwise, you could try redownloading & restarting the map. Sorry for the trouble!
I have just a small suggestion. In the main thread, you should remove "pictures to prove this isn't a virus". You're a well known map creator and I just feel that makes it seem unprofessional… :/ I tried your map a while back and it's huge!! I found you out from captain sparkles and proceeded to try other maps like gloria and l'brour mansion. You should update Gloria 2 and also awaiting a new map from you, it's been 2 years!

TBH, I haven't been on these forums for quite a while. You're correct about the pictures...it certainly seems rather unprofessional. Let me remedy that.
As for future projects, I've actually started working on games outside of Minecraft. I'm working on a game design degree starting this fall and will be developing a PC game codenamed Three as my next major project. Stay tuned!
