I have nearly finished updating all signs at this point.
I think given how long it will probably take for forge to update to 1.7 (because of how massive this update is), I will proceed to begin construction of NetherWorld.
I am waiting on packed ice for Ice Age (otherwise the whole domain would be dark or melted).
I am waiting on stained glass for Urban Metropolis and FantasyLand.
That being said, by the time I make significant progress on NetherWorld, forge will hopefully be updated.
Since I haven't uploaded screenshots recently, I will confirm that there WILL be a new challenge in NetherWorld for the initial release.
As an added hint, don't expect to see any empty domains upon the release of the revamption.
This means you are looking at at least 5 new challenges. This will more than offset the loss of 4 previous challenges (I am not counting Asteroid Cloud as that will return in a future update once I decide how I want to go about creating the Galaxy Domain within this world).
New Challenges:
Challenge 2 (Domain of Basic Training)
??? (NetherWorld)
??? (Ice Age)
??? (FantasyLand)
??? (Urban Metropolis)
and more......???
I am continuing to make NetherWorld progress. However, as many of you might guess, exam season is approaching, and I will have a bit less time to work for the next month or so. That being said, I'm still working.
If I had to put out a rough estimate regarding the release date of the revamption, I'd say somewhere around the beginning of January...
DO NOT HOLD ME TO THIS DATE. It could come sooner or later. Making a prediction at this time does not mean much.
If Forge does not update to 1.7.2 relatively soon, I will simply leave out Ice Age and Urban Metropolis for now and include a version of FantasyLand to be updated aesthetically in the future.
Stay Tuned for the next confirmed returning challenge this week!
Hey All. I have not posted in a while for a couple reasons:
1. Most of my recent progress has been involving actually shaping domains and formatting them to look impressive.
2. My laptop has finally received a blow that cannot be fixed. The internal fan has broken meaning that I cannot do much more than surf the internet without it heating up to a dangerous temperature. This means I cannot load up minecraft without my computer reaching temperatures close to 100 degrees Celsius. Luckily I am getting a new computer next weekend, so I will be able to resume working again. There should be no more technical issues after that point.
Progress might be slightly slower due to not having WorldEdit handy.
However, I think it will be worth it to utilize 1.7 features.
There are also a few tricks with 1.7 that can make challenges a little less aesthetically awkward.
New laptop currently in transit. Should be here any day now.
Finishing Touches Have Been Made to Challenge 2. It is called "Parkour Survey". It has 15 stages. It is Medium difficulty. The theme is not really a theme, but more of an introduction to numerous types of parkour that might be seen throughout the many domains.
Screenshot of the new challenge to open up this domain (This screenshot was taken about halfway through developing this challenge. I finished building it after taking this but figured I'd leave you with some suspense.):
If the old maps are still in the original post, then you can download them there. If not, shoot me a PM and I'll give you the link. I might have taken them down since the revamped map is so far into development.
Challenge 11 is now significantly into development. It is in FantasyLand. There will probably be roughly 20 stages. Theme is different arrangements of the 16 colored wool, clay, and glass as well as playing around with status effects.
You have no idea how hard I tried to record Domain of the Jungle, when I said I was going to. It was just nearly impossible for me to go through without making a horrible video. Since I've already done basic training, do you want me to start on Jungle to continue the series, or do you want me to wait for revamp?
I was looking for a training map to teach me parkour, and found this map! It looks like exactly what I was looking for, so I was wondering what the status of the revamped map currently is. Please note, this is not a beg for update, just curiosity as the latest post is from january! Diamond for this map anyway!

Now that finals are over, I may have some time to be working on this for the next few weeks.
It's been quite a while since I've had time to work on this map... and since November, WorldEdit and Forge have both been updated for 1.7.2 making construction much easier for me.
Hopefully I can get the revamption out in the next month...

Expect to see bi-daily screenshots for now. It's harder to do daily screenshots when working on only one thing.
Also, another returning Desert Domain challenge will be revealed this weekend.
Which will it be???
Field of Spokes?
The Oasis?
Eternal Drought?
Yellow Mansion?
Golden Castle?

Due to popular demand, The Oasis will make a return as Challenge 7!

Construction will resume starting then!
Sorry for the delay

Progress Has Been Made.
First Look at FantasyLand:

This will lead up to the long-awaited release of the revamped map.
These trailers will also confirm the remaining challenges that will be returning from the old maps.
